I purchased these 4 dinner plates as replacements for broken plates. The service itself is beautiful. It's rugged, and sets a beautiful casual table, but can be used for a more formal dinner service. It goes into the dishwasher and microwave with no problem. It's quite easy to add matching pieces which I have or even purchase pieces in white. We love the set.

Cutting Corners !

The colour is all wrong compared to my existing blue Italian plates . I really don’t like these light blue finish ones like ur cutting corners with watered down blue glaze, and it’s not just for seconds but the new ones can be light too ! I just want the rich dark blue versions you sell .

Italian Blue Dinner Plates x 4

The dinner plates purchased are serviceable, however, they are not of the high standard of the Italian blue Dinner service I bought some thirty years ago. The plates are thicker and more akin to earthen ware than fine china or porcelain .. I was disappointed.

The plates arrived in good order and as described. However, the quality of the plates are not up to the standard of my complete dinner service. The plates are definitely thicker and not the fine china I am accustomed to. I don’t expect my guests to notice but it seems to me that quality has been dropped in order that these new plates are all singing and dancing for dishwashers, microwaves and ovens … such a disappointment.

Back in the 1960’s my Brother and I purchased Spode Chinese Rose diner set for Mum and Dad for Christmas.

Lovely purchase. Excellent value and are perfect to use on the small table which we use frequently. I just wish there were the same in a dinner plate as it brings inexpensive luxury to the home. The delivery was quickl without hassle and the packaging expertly done. I would recommend this company .

I love this pattern but was disappointed with the quality. The plates appear to be seconds. Boxes weren’t marked as such so not sure if Spode quality had diminished or if Birch Lane just passed off seconds as first quality. Price was good though so I’ll keep them.

These plates have held up against my husband and 4 kids. No chips or cracks, and we have used them multiple times a day for over a year.

I love these little Spode Blue Italian dishes. They are beautiful and the blue glaze is vivid. Well made items which fit online description. I tad pricier than at a nearby store, but still a decent value.

These dishes are beautiful. I purchased them from Wayfair because they had the best price compared to other retailers. They arrived quickly and were well packed. Since I received these dishes, I have purchased additional Blue Spode items from Wayfair as they again had the best price.

Bought to use in the

Bought to use in the cafe/restaurant, these seconds are sturdy and stand up to commercial use.....I have over 200 pieces in a range os shapes/sizes and not expensive to replace if the staff have any breakages.....they take good care of them tho.

After 2 shipments of pasta bowl with plates broken, I was crossing my fingers the this would have come from the warehouse that packed the tea pot and teacups. And it did! It’s well packed with peanuts and no. Of the plates were broken!

I love these, they feel like really good quality and I love the design, it’s really nostalgic for me. They’re a good size as we have other dinner plates that are just a bit too big for everyday use but these are perfect. Dishwasher and microwave safe, what’s not to love!

Buy British

Wonderful quality and a pleasure to use everyday. Made in Britain as well always nice to see that. I bought some plates from another well known maker, and it was made in the far east. Why pay a premium price for a product made in a sweat shop so they can save a few pennies. Buy from a maker where they take care of their staff and their staff care about what they make, always buy British.

Classic Beaty

Inherited some Spode Italian from my parents years ago and wanted to replace some chipped plates. Excellent order process and delivery. Such a relief to see it being made again. Expensive? Yes especially when all development costs were met years ago but couldn’t get “seconds’ in this particular size.

Please don't change the sizes of your products

We were lucky enough you get an 8 place set of everything plus serving bowls, ovenware, teapot, cups and saucers, milk jug, sugar bowl etc etc. that was nearly 25 years ago and now I am finding I CANNOT replace any of this through you as you have changed your sizing (and also the thickness of the china in some instances) so I have to go to outlet/china discontinued stores to try and find old product that matches. For a product that is as beautiful and timeless as it is, this experience has been shocking. WHY oh why change it? - cost reduction?????

Finally found my treasure!

I purchased this plate to complete my wall of dishes in our kitchen, I have been looking for this exact dish for over 3 years, but finding it at a reasonable price has priven difficult. Why I did not look on Overstock first I cannot explain. It is perfect condition and the packing was done so that the dish could not be damaged in shipping.
