Attractive but Poor Rain Performance

I purchased this attractive striped mat as an outdoor entry mat from a deck. While the 1/4” thickness is exactly the plushness needed, the backing is a single sheet of waterproof material that hinders evaporation of the water that inevitably gets under it every time it rains. Holding water against a wooden deck is bad, so the mat needs to be pulled up to dry whenever it gets wet. It would have made more sense to have a lower surface that facilutates water evaporation.

I felt cheated from Chilewich

Terrible experience from Quebec, Canada, ordering from Chilewich office. They wrote free shipping and handling on the bill but at 245$, i didnt noticed the amount of taxes was 27% for a total of 310$.

This is the fourth Chilewich rug I have bought and I could not recommend more highly! They’re nothing short of miraculous - we have 5 kids and 2 dogs and they catch 99% of the dirt, mud, sand, and chaos that enters the doors of our house and cottage. Best rugs ever!

This is a great mat. It is completely slip proof. It feels great under foot. I love the blue in the mat, a saturated shade that looks rich. So easy to clean! I love the quality of Chilewich. I have never been disappointed with their products.

I have more than a few Chilewich products in my home so I expected the stylish, sturdy rug that arrived. It is perfect in front of my cooktop…..any spills can be wiped away and it feels great underfoot. Good for indoors and out…my outdoor Chilewich rugs are in their 7th year with no sign of wear.
