I had to give it a minimum 1 start! Not great if you need space for wiring

These looked great, low profile and the price. There is zero room in the light box for any additional wiring, no room for even a ground line.

Great product in 24" and larger versions. 12" is tough to install.1

Good quality. Love the color temp option and adjustable lamp. 24" installed much easier than the 12". 12" didn't have enough room for the push in electrical connectors in the housing even after removing the cover which is not indicated in the instructions. Had to cut off the push-in connectors and use wire nuts.

Great Features

I think this light still works for most people’s purposes. Just know you’re going to deal with more install headaches than the larger models. Features are great. There are a lot of options for brightness and color. The versatility of hardwire versus plug-and-play is great too. Whoever designed this and placed the internal AC/DC converter near the opening to join the wiring. Could not retrieve the pre-installed cable nuts without taking the entire light apart.

Excellent light!

Highly recommend for new builds or remodeled kitchens. Light swivels to shine where you need it on the counter. Can shine direct onto the countertop or against the wall. Also can be adjusted for warm or bright light temperature. Either direct connect to electric or special cord to plug in (which is not sold with the unit)

Nice light, install is difficult

I tried this light for a customer who is moving from florescent into LED under cabinet lights. This is a nice light, with an adjustable bulb and setting changes from high to low light levels. The issue is installation. It comes with permanent connecters that you attach to the building wires then stuff the whole mess into the back of the light, then slip on a cap on the back of the light and then attach to cabinet. Even with 14g wire there was no way to stuff the connectors, light wire, and building wire inside the light. It was easier to take the light apart to make connections inside, the put back together. Works fine but plan on more time for installation that you might expect.

Replacement for 20 year old under cabinet lighting

Got these Maxim lights as a replacement for 20 year old under cabinet lighting. There are 3 brightness options and it has made a huge improvement in my kitchen, wish I had replaced them years ago!
