The box says metal construction. The only metal on this product is the screws holding the plastic together.

That item not working period . I try to check the batterys no way you can get to them to replace eventuly .
Works good, love the post lighting down at my driveway gate, 300’ away from the house. Lights up my entrance so I can see it better when coming home at night.
I wish it was glass instead of plastic
