[Rewarded Review] Very Flexible and Bright
With a 15’ connection cord, these solar charging flood lights from Halo allow a great deal of flexibility in placing the light while still having it charge via sunlight. You can mount the light on a shaded area but place the solar panel up to 15’ away.
[Rewarded Review] Surprisingly bright, easy install.
I needed security on a dark corner of my house, but didn't want to run new wiring or anything so involved. Previously I had a battery powered security light but that had a couple downside. For one you have to buy batteries. Granted the D cell batteries lasted over a year it is an extra expense. This one uses a a user replaceable lithium 18650 size battery. These are pretty common to buy now if after a few years it starts to go out. Being recharged via solar panel is a somewhat eco friendly way to have lower maintenance and higher ease of use. Being a 180 degree sensor it is perfect for placement along flat walls to catch and activate on motion along that particular side of the house. Remember when placing a solar panel that if in the northern hemisphere, face the panel south for maximum exposure. Also don't face the horizon or straight up, rather a 15 to 20 degree angle works best for most areas. At least in the USA. All in all it took maybe 25 minutes to install the light and put the solar panel on the roof.
[Rewarded Review] Solar Light that allows you great control
If you looking for a solar light that allows you to move the two lights independently then the
[Rewarded Review] Great light
The light is made of plastic so it doesn’t weight much. This light is easy to install and easy to pull down to replace the batteries when needed. I like the wires that come from the solar panel because they are water proof and long so you can mount the solar panel on the roof with the light under the eve. The instructions are simple to follow and tells you how to adjust the sensitivity of the light
[Rewarded Review] LOVE THIS LIGHT!
This is a great find! This Halo 5.8-Watt 180-Degree Bronze Solar Motion Activated Twin Head Outdoor Integrated LED Flood Light is a solid design and build with a perfect neutral color to pretty much ‘hide’ in plain sight. Discrete when its off / the lights come on, it is anything but discrete. It is BRIGHT! The motion sensor* mounted front and center works very well and will detect just about everything to about 80 feet (depending on mounting height of course). The solar panel is small enough to also be surreptitious and with the long cord, able to be mounted pretty much anywhere away from the light. I put mine on the roof with the cord overlapping a rain gutter and it doesn’t interfere with the gutter. *ONE THING: I would like to note the motion sensor on this unit is mounted in a clandestine kind of front & center mount which is really a respectable design. Other units have the motion sensor stick out and away from the lights which can honestly be a real pain once installed and you try to angle the sensor in the correct position. THIS unit has it figured out and there’s no messing with the motion sensor position which is GREAT! That might not be a big deal to some folks but depending on your installation needs, it matters. The light heads can be angled all over the place so you will be able to illuminate anywhere you want, no problem. Awesome fixture. HIGHLY recommend!
[Rewarded Review] Bright, solar, rotatable panels, and motion sensor
I will list some features and then share my experience with this bronze twin head solar powered outdoor security light. It comes with a snap on bracket, hanging hardware, the light fixure, and solar panel. The light has 3 settings test, 1 min, and 3 min. This light has a range of 50' and 180° coverage. The light has a brightness of 650 lumens which is equivalent to a 50w incandescent. It has a built in motion sensor that turns the lights on automatically. The sensor has a 180° detection zone. With the dusk to dawn sensor the light only illuminates during dark hours. The light runs up to 100 hours on the 18650 rechargeable battery. I recently got a new gazebo and wanted a solar powered light for it. I already owned a few solar lights with built in solar panels but I wanted this one for the gazebo because I needed a detachable solar panel. This light was perfect for my needs. You are able to point each light in 180° to illuminate specific areas. Rotate the lights up, down, left, and right. The solar panel is detachable and has about 12 ft. of cord. The manual states you want to charge this light for 4 days and have it in a place where it receives 3 to 4 hours of sun light. I chose to charge it for 2 days with about 11 hours of sunlight each day. The light is bright and the motion detection is amazing. The light comes on when I get about 25 ft. within the gazebo. You can set the light to activate for 1 minute or 3 minutes. As long as there is movement the light will stay on continuously until it doesn't pick up anymore motion. When I read the battery will work for 100 minutes I thought thats not very long. To my suprise I have not had any issues with that. The light will work all night because it is not just on continuously all night. I may decide to upgrade the batteries eventually but right now it is perfect for me.

[Rewarded Review] Halo Solar motion act. flood light
This is a very nice easy to install motion activated outdoor LED flood light. I just a mater of finding a place to install, mount the bracket to hold the fixture ( not electric power required ) then fine a place to mount the solar panel, best to plug into the fixture so you don't get to far away from provide wire length, mount the solar panel where it will get the most sun. then just adjust the stay on time when motion has activated and make sure to turn on the on/off switch, light is 650 lumens. with 180 deg coverage. I mounted on back of shop for telling when someone or some thing get close. Great little fixture
Don't Waste Your Money
This light works pretty well in the Summer, when the days are long. But not so well in Fall, Winter, Spring. The solar panel doesn’t keep the battery charged enough to operate reliably every night. Our solar panel is mounted in full sun, no obstructions, no shade. We installed it in Summer and it seemed to work. But when we returned from a Fall trip the red light was blinking (in the daytime, though the instructions only mention this behavior at night). We replaced the battery with a fully-charged new one; no improvement.
good product
Good range on the motion sensor. Nice and bright with good coverage - better than anticipated compared to other purchases. Make sure to follow the instructions and charge before putting into service. Easy mounting and installation.
Doesn't hold charge
Terrible light. Doesn't hold charge. Never works. Just flashes red light for weeks indicating it needs charged. Have moved the solar panel to the best location and still won't charge. Worked one night only then needs charged again for days. Will return.
Failed after 6 months
Have this light mounted in such a way as to cast light into driveway and main house entrance. Panel is in full sunlight all year. Worked well for about 6 months, then started failing. Light would not come on and the red LED would continually flash. I would turn the switch off and back on and it would work for a few days. Now, 1 year later, it simply doesn't work at all. Reset the switch light comes on. Within minutes the light flashes and then has to be reset again. Wash, rinse, repeat. Cannot get it to work. And of course the warranty is expired. Save your money...
Doesn’t work on winter!
Doesn’t work on winter time where you will be needing it for longer hours of night time.
Terrible product... AND Home Depot knows it!!!
Bought 3 of these for security lighting in my backyard. They worked fine for about 10 days, then all 3 stopped working. When I returned them to Home Depot, I spoke to the same salesperson who sold them to me (who obviously didn't remember me) who told me that "... they had a lot of these lights returned for the same reason... SO.... why are you knowingly selling junk??
Bright, attractive light
I installed this in my downstairs front entrance just now to, hopefully, end my stumbling around when I come in in the dark. I live in a very old house where the downstairs lights and upstairs ones aren't connected. This attractive, bright solar, motion activated light looks great for indoor use and provides very bright light all the way up to my second floor landing. When I head back downstairs it switches on by the second stair so I have a safe way to head downstairs without having to leave a light on permanently upstairs.
