Looks good but could be improved

Looks good and sturdy, and was easy to install. The mounting plate would benefit from featuring holes in its corners in order to better secure it to any type of wall.

Not good

Piece of junk. Unable to thread a hose to the water elbow. Tried 4 different hoses, quick connects, even tried to thread the leader hose onto the output threads and it didn’t even work. Just too bad I went to the work of putting in a post, etc. before I realized this won’t work.

Works and looks as expected. Only issues we had weren't really with the product, but more so what we were mounting it to. Our house has a brick veneer (about an inch thick) over the original clap-board siding. We drilled holes in the brick and sent rust-proof lags into the underlayment, using the two "accessible" holes in the reel base but it wasn't as "solid" as we wanted it. There is a third hole in the middle of the mount plate, but it cannot be accessed straightly. That would be my only complaint so far, but I save final judgement until I see how "durable" it is over time.

Mounted hose reel.

I have a very long hose and this is an excellent solution to watering in the various places I must use it. I used to have to drag it and then coil it when I was done. Now the reel does most of the "dragging" work and it is easy to secure when finished. A great product and good bargain for the money and it is attractive mounted on my deck supports. After seeing the ease of using mine my son-in-law has decided to purchase the same thing.

I love the color. It blends so well in the garden. Easy to install, however disappointed that for the price, doesn't include any mounting hardware. I have a 1/2" 50 foot hose on the reel and you can see that there is plenty of room left for a longer or larger diameter hose. High quality hose hook ups and I absolutely love how you can lock it into place for unwinding/winding the hose. Padded handle. What's not to love. I purchased a more ornate hose reel from the same Company for the backyard where I use a hose more often. Can't wait to see it installed.

This garden hose navigator is amazing! It truly keeps your hose kink free. I cannot tell you how many hoses I have purchased that say kink free and were not. I discovered that it actually wasn't as much the hose, but the hose reel they were on. Now we have the perfect reel. I have 100 foot of hose on this reel and have not had one kink. It also has an adjuster to aim the reel in the direction you are going with your hose. This feature is awesome! It has a nice look to it as well! My husband was able to easily mount the bracket and both of us are super happy with our purchase! Highly recommend this product.

Not nearly as sturdy as it should be for the price.

The product overall is of decent steel. However the pivot shaft rocks and wobbles quite a bit. For the cost of the product I was expecting this item to be a lot more robust. It is nice and functions great but i do expect to have to replace it in just a couple short years i am am fully expecting the pivot joint to fail. Also the pipe connection doe not appear to be a full 5/8" as it is restricting water flow quite a bit. I would recommend the mfg use a more stout pivot joint and thicker metal at the top for the lock as they was too thin. I would not at recommend this product.

Great hose reel

Great hose reel. It can rotate so that the hose can be pulled out in whatever direction you want and then rolled up the same way. We have a hose bib on our patio and need to take the hose in opposite directions depending on what we are watering. It was easy to assemble but mounting it takes some skills and tools depending on what material you wall is made of. It appears to be strong enough to support the weight of the hose and pulling it out. I don't think you can fit a 125 ft hose on it though. I think it is a bit over priced compared to the other models by the same company.

Good heavy duty product

This is a good sturdy hose reel that easily holds a 100' heavy duty hose. The swivel is useful to get to different parts of the garden without having to pull the hose off sideways. I was amazed at how easy it is to reel up the heavy hose that I used to have to sling around the deck to get it out of the way. I highly recommend this reel and will be buying another one for the front of the house. One note: use your own bolts to attach it to the wall. The enclosed ones stripped out right away. Why do they enclose cheap screws with such a good product?

Perfect for post mounting

Bought this to replace a standard metal hose holder that was attached to a 4x4. Bought a new 4x4 and this fits perfectly without being too heavy as it extends out from the post. Installation is about 5 minutes, so really simple. This was the best price I could find as well, unless you find a refurbished one in stock. I do recommend getting your own lag screws, though. You can use wood screws but I felt more comfortable with lag screws. To finish it off, you can buy whatever 4x4 topper you like from your favorite home improvement store. Add some weatherproof stain to the post for durability as well. Altogether, I spent less than 200 on the whole thing (with existing water line of course).
