Terrible Splashing
Beautiful faucet; Easy to install. However, the aerator type is not a traditional soft bubble aerator. Their "laminar" flow is way too harsh for my sink basin so water splashes out; It appears many others are experiencing the same issue. If only Moen would offer a proper aerated flow (bubbler); that would solve all my problems.
Straight forward installation. The plunger rod is angled slightly when pulling up so one must be mindful if spacing is tight between back of faucet and back splash board.
Missing a piece to install. Spent 45 minutes on call w customer service then they said to call back the next day. Finally installed and the water pressure is low. The spigot is close to the back edge of the sink so it splatters and is akward to use. Wish I never bought it with all the other options on the market. Don't let good reviews fool you. Color nothing special which is why I purchased 2. My expensive mistake.
Great installation engineering , clean simple
Innovative faucet "nut" assembly underneath cabinet plus included tool - 5 stars on that. Very satisfied . Had planned on some expensive Hansgrohe that were too much hassle to order and gave these a try with HD next day delivery. I bought the two pack for a twin install , plus due to being this pleased - girlfriend bought one as well for the remodel I had done at her place.
It looks cute outside and works with water. But the base plate all warped. I ordered it online so I skip going to the store and hoped to immediately install it. Well, not that croocked thing. I went back to store and checked all the products and all warped including one installed on display. The base is plastic without anyways to get it in shape. Tightening it makes it worse.
Disappointed in home depot
Remodeling a bath, took more than 90 days. Turning the faucet, they would not return it or give us credit. Since it took us more than the 90 days. I have a full-time job and cannot get to this stuff all the time with the holiday seasons, disappointed at Home Depot. They got all of our business for all the tile, shiplap and tub and they wouldn’t refund this item. Really doubt I will shop at Home Depot again.
Love Moen, love this faucet
I bought a Moen faucet for the outside kitchen and liked it so much that I decided to buy Moen for the master bath & kitchen remodel. This faucet actually flows a stream of water - not the typical low flow cheap faucets. Love the style. It can stay wet all day & wipes clean. We’ve used it for 2-3 months now - my wife will wash her face & leave this & the countertops wet for hours - a simple wipe with a towel & it looks brand new!
Faulty tap. Dribble dribble dribble
When we received this faucet in the mail the box was well widen. I put it down to shipping. When I opened the box and checked to see if everything there, I noticed that the packaging had already opened. Given our nearest Home Depot is 5 hours away I decided to use the faucet. Everything went well with the installation. However when I tested everything I noticed that the faucet would dribble water after shutting it off. It continues to dribble every 5-10 minutes. I believe that since the faucet had already been opened it had been previously used. Now I have to return the faucet and see if another one. When notifying customer service through the chat line I was told that I had to mail it back to Calgary and that this was the case for every return purchased in Alberta and B.C. Not believing this I phoned the Kelowna store and was told I could drop it off there for an exchange or a refund within 90 days.
Wish I could go back in time
I absolutely loved the look of this faucet. I liked how easy it was to use and the design of the handle. I definitely thought it was a sleek modern faucet. HOWEVER, the design of the drain is TRASH. I wish I would’ve looked up more reviews on different sites because apparently this is a known issue with this model. There is a ring of water that will just pool near the drain since the drain has a significantly high lip. Also, the O-ring that comes with the kit is not easy to use.
Overall a nice faucet, however it doesn’t have markings on the handle or base or anywhere to tell which way is hot or cold. We thought we had it right, however our renter feels they way it is set up is backwards. Since then we have been making it a point to find the correct answer. Its your perspective on which part of the handle is left or right. The water lines are already attached to the faucet, so should be a no brainer-unless the factory accidentally marks them wrong, or your water lines at home happen to be backwards. With all this said, having the red/blue marks on the faucet would end any debate.
Nice faucet, crummy install instructions. The directions made it seem like the crescent moon shaped piece securing the faucet underneath the sink should be facing forward. After much unsuccessful effort trying that, I realized the crescent shaped piece needed to face the back of the sink. After that, no problem.
Leans with base plate
Everything seems nice untill mounting the faucet. It comes with a thin base plate for covering the other holes. Unfortunately, when you hand tighten the faucet, it leans to one side creatin gaps and bendin the plate. I didn't even use a screwdriver like the instructions say to get more leverage. It leans about 2 degrees off to the right. Absolute terrible quality. Going to have to return. I'm guessing I will run into this issue with any single hole faucet using a mounting plate.
Nice faucet but drain assembly could be improved
Overall the Moen Genta is a nice faucet but the drain assembly could be improved.

I only recommend this faucet if you really like the style or maybe if it is going in a less used place. That is because the flat design leaves water sitting on it all the time. The finish is spot resistant but our slightly hard water leaves spots on the flat surfaces. So if you care about that you have to wipe it off after every use. I probably would have picked something different but didn't think about that until after it was installed.
Looks good but splashes A LOT
I bought this faucet a few months ago attracted by its contemporary look, as well as the well known brand. Although it looks nice and the spot-proof coating does the job very well, the usability of the faucet is below average. Why? Because its fancy looking twisted water flow splashes a lot! No, I would say, A LOT! It is super unpleasant to use. I think the "Aerated flow" in the description is deceiving (simply lies). What they call "an aerator" is in fact just a rectangular plastic grid in the nozzle that makes that fancy stream, but it does not aerate it. As a result, considering the faucet is also taller that the average, all the surroundings of your sink will be covered with water droplets after each use. Unfortunately, I only discovered all this after I got it installed and got rid of the old leaking faucet, so now it is difficult to undo all that. Otherwise, I would have definitely returned it.
