A Short XL-Twin

I ordered a Firm XL-Twin size to place next to another XL-Twin mattress and the one I received is 3 inches shorter than the other mattress and the bedframe!

Far too soft even for side sleepers.

I sleep on my side and have previously slept on relatively inexpensive mattresses. I weight about 160lbs and am 6'1". The mattress is fine far too soft. It offers little to support. I have never had any back issues, but now have back pain after sleeping on this mattress for a week. Because the mattress is so plush its you cannot really use it to sit on, like when you get up in the morning and put your socks on. If you must purchase this mattress definitely go for the medium even if you are a side sleeper.

So I bought another mattress about a year ago, it was memory foam with great reviews. I realized it was making my upper body so unbalanced and sore that I'd have multiple muscle knots in my back and neck every day. I needed something more supportive, because momory foam inherently has 0 support, you just sink lower and lower as the night goes on. So, after doing hours and days of research into what makes a mattress good (springs!, density of foam etc) I came across brooklyn bedding. I didn't have tons of money to spring on ANOTHER new mattress, so I said why not. Let's go with the standard, its cheap but it seems like it has everything a person needs in a mattress - support AND comfort.

Great feel but little support

I was need a new mattress and with lots of searching online, I came across this mattress. It had a lot of pros: made in the US, great reviews and a great price! Once it arrived I was so excited to unbox this compressed mattress. It inflated quickly and the top felt great to the touch. Now to test how it feels laying on it. Uhh...it felt okay but not to my expectations. This mattres is rated for medium, but felt super soft with little support. For reference I am 5'11" athletic build weighing 175 lbs. This mattress should be enouch for me...nope. If you weigh less than I do or if this is for a child/kid, then it might work, but for an adult...I would keep looking!

Super comfy and great price

“Firm” mattress too soft

Less than a year in and this overly soft “firm” mattress has worn down and caused back and hip pain. From the get go, the side were never firm. However, I decided to give it a chance to fully expand. Less than a year in and this mattress is causing back and hip pain.

Very timely and professional delivery! It was placed outside my apartment door so it was safe and I did not have to move it in from the porch.The box arrived sooner than was initially estimated so I have not been able to set it up yet. I will provide an update soon!

Perfect fit!

The mattresses arrived early and were exactly what I ordered. Perfect fit for a twin xl bed frame and very comfortable especially for the price! We are very happy with our purchase!

Would recommend

This mattress was exactly what I needed and for the price, it lived up to all expectations. Though it’s market as a cooling mattress, that effect is less noticeable. The mattress took a few days to fully fluff out but once it did it was very comfortable. It sits a bit higher than I anticipated but I was pleasantly surprised by that. It is definitely a hybrid mattress - not too stiff or soft.

To be 100% honest I'm incredibly surprised how good this mattress is for the price. I'm frugal and tried a couple of others around the same price point but was very disappointed and started experiencing worse back pain than what i got from my previous mattress that was going on 20 years old. With a decent mattress topper i feel like this thing is just about perfect for me and will last a long while. Would definitely recommend for those on a budget.

Decent for the price

I have purchased Brooklyn Bedding mattresses from Brooklyn Bedding directly and purchased 2 mattresses from this site. While these are a great deal and a fraction of the price, they are not the same quality. I’m not sure why these are so much cheaper specifically, but they do not seem as supportive. for example if you sit on the end of the bed you will fall off as it totally collapses. I purchased these for our cottage so they fit our needs, but not sure I would want this for an every night bed.

I saw the same mattress for over twice the price on another website. Both websites had rave reviews with some 1 star reviews thrown in, so I thought I'd take a chance. Add me to the 1 star reviews.

We could lay in bed for days!

You'll feel minimal movement as your partner lays in bed, nothing too distracting compared to what we had before this mattress. As a person with some curves, it's definitely nice on my back and I can sleep supine without any supporting pillows. My partner and I wake up feeling like we've had deep, quality sleep.

This review is for the Twin XL "Firm" Mattress. This mattress is a 74.5” base with a 79.5" top (error: 0.5"). I measured it twice. Do not be fooled by the XL measurement photo. It is wrong. Be warned.
