Mr. Beams Motion Sensing review

The first Mr.Beams Motion -Sensing Battery Powered LED White Security Light was purchased over 10 years ago, it still works, but over the years the sensor has clouded, don’t let that stop you from purchasing, that it a very long time for an outdoor light to work! Perfect for the price when you don’t want to pay an electrician to hard wire a light, you could pay much more ! I highly recommend this light! We have our light under the eave of the house. It doesn’t stay on a long time which is what we wanted, just enough to detect motion and light up that area. The photos are with the light activated and without. Enjoy your new light when you purchase :)

Great Lights

Good amount of light. Easy to adjust and install.The sensor could be a bit more sensitive for smaller things like a small dog. Overall very happy. Would be great for camping.

These work great for stairs, driveways, dark corners… everywhere.

Installed 2 lights in attic in under 30 minutes and they work great.

Mr. Beams

The light is bright and good for my use. Make sure it is not pointing at people passing by. It can become some sort annoying.

Bright, easy to set up, and it works.

Great little light, so far. My neighbour has had one for over a year and loves it. That’s why I got it. I have had solar lights that dies after a year and I can’t get replacement batteries. Not a problem with this one as batteries easily available. Bright light when activated. Works as advertised.

Performance declined over time

Have had this light for a few years. Started out great but the last 2 winters it started turning on then off, then on again repeatedly. I thought it was extreme cold but it did it again yesterday at -2C. This will go through batteries really fast.

These are great battery powered lights especially in remote areas and are easy to install.

I installed on my front porch. Works great! Let's me know when the cats come for dinner.

Reliable

Reliable, only needs 3 D cell batteries. Great for travel too.

I'm not impressed

I'm not happy with this unit. It worked fine for the first two months and then came on for no reason. It would turn off for 4 seconds and go back on so on and so on. This is the second unit I've had that has done the same thing although the first one did this after a year.

Best Safety Light

A very good product. I purchased it to light the outdoor stairway to my front door when I come home after dark and the main lights aren’t on. Excellent illumination—now I can safely walk down the stairs. NOTE: This product is not brown as stated online—it is black. I expected it to be black and it is.
