It's fine, not the brightest, but it does work well with motion detection. Great price point and uses C batteries. I am using it over my off-street parking space due to our HOA being reticent fixing the usual parking lot light. For that, it's great. I zip tied it to the pole the broken light is on!

NOT “Wireless”

These are battery operated. This particular model is NOT “wireless” as stated in the description. The term wireless indicates that they can be linked with each other using a radio signal. These do NOT link with each other like the true wireless ones.

Mr. Beams is run by idiots

The idiots at Mr. Beams put the instructions for opening the battery compartment inside the battery compartment. Whatever the proper process is for opening the battery compartment, the process is not intuitive. Eventually, I figured out the right moves, but there's no excuse to put the instructions inside the compartment that must be opened. No matter how well or poorly the light eventually works, Mr. Beams doesn't deserve any more sales until the person who approved that choice is fired.

Perfect in every way.

Finally a motion sensor light that doesn't light up, when the lights are on. Works flawlessly. It's outdoor ready so it needs a tight seal to keep out the elements. Simply grip it tightly and turn. Then use your eyes and look at the tab to open battery compartment. To close align the hinges and press down.

Perfect solution for me.

Great price for this motion sensor LED light. It works great to illuminate a gate so you can see to enter the code for entry. I previously tried an solar light but here in the Pacific Northwest, there's not enough daylight to be functional. Time will tell how long the battery lasts but so far, so good. I didn't find any issues with accessing the battery compartment and although the instructions are inside, you can also download them in advance on Home Depot's website.

Hurricane Rated

Bought 3 and installed on gutters,,,,,,all 3 survived Hurricane Ian. Still working fine. Just remember to take apart once a year to remove any corrosion at battery terminal ends. Mine are 2 years old and still on the original DuraCell batteries I put in them.

Led motion lights

Purchase of these lights 1 year and almost 4 months ago they're only warranted for a year like most everything else. I have one that does not work anymore the light stays on. I haven't checked the other one that I'm about to take down to replace the batteries. I will not purchase again

I bought one Mr. Beams MOTION LIGHT last year for my front door entry. This motion light is TOTALLY AWESOME, WORKS GREAT. LASTS A YEAR ON 3-"C" BATTERIES. NO MORE FUMBLING TO GET KEY IN LOCK. BETTER SECURITY. BBOUGHT 4 MORE & SENDING TWO TO A RELATIVE FOR THEIR BIRTHDAY PRESENT.

SO FAR SO GOOD! We have only had this for a short time but it's a great little light that we are using to light up our front steps. We live in a windy wet location in Alaska and so far this light has done great where other battery operated lights have failed in the past. The price is very reasonable, so much so that we purchased 2 more.

Packaging not very helpful

Just installed the BEAMS LED Spotlight so can't say much about quality yet. My biggest complaint is, I looked all over the packaging to see what type of Batteries & how many to purchase. I did see "Battery Powered" but no type or amount. Only after you open package do you know. Very annoying, C Batteries are not used as much.

Good Product Terrible Design

The packaging and assembly of this product is terrible. Breaking into the packaging alone is a major struggle. It doesn’t end there. Next you have to find a way to undo the battery compartment and instructions which is no easy feat. I finally used a knife to get it open, cutting myself in the process. I saw no other way to get the stupid thing opened. Fortunately the top held up. It doesn’t come with batteries so you will need to tack on the price of them to the product’s total price. Once I had a bandage for my cut finger and got the light going it does work well. I would have given it more stars had the company come up with a better design.

I purchased two (2) Mr Beams Wireless Motion activated lights. They work great to light up very dark areas of my deck stairs. Each light uses three (3)"C-cell" batteries, which is not stated on the packaging. I recommend the product be more clearly labelled with that requirement. Still product works great!

Almost always on

The light produced by this product is quite impressive. However, the actual motion sensor is garbage as the light is on virtually nonstop whenever it's dark. Tried placing the light in different locations, but the problem remains. Light will turn on, then off for perhaps two to three seconds and then on again. This is regardless of whether any motion is detected or not. In fact, the motion sensor apparently has nothing to do with the functionality of the light. As long as it's dark enough, the light will remain on. Doesn't matter if it detects any motion or not.

Placed two motion censor lights on an 8 Ft 4x4...

Placed two motion censor lights on an 8 Ft 4x4 post at the end of my driveway . One facing the RV parking near the street and the other one pointing at the driveway. I recently had been robbed and have not had anymore problems with equipment parked in these two area's . I like that you can move them facing all the way down / up or anything in between . There are no city street lights in this area. This is an awesome product to go along with my security camera's. Once activated they stay on a little over a minute. The range is more than I anticipated . Price of product is worth every penny

Never expected that nice for under $10! Basement staircase is very dark until you're actually down there. Have stepped on our black cat and other things on steps almost falling numerous times. Was going to wire a light on top of stairs, but just haven't found the time. Was actually buying motion light for outside the barn and saw this and thought why not try it. It's freakin perfect. It's plenty of light going down and up and motion detector works flawlessly. Would be ideal for closets too.

Amazing how much light these inexpensive spotlights give your dark areas. A friend mentioned the lights, he had mounted several around his property with great results. Simple to install: pilot holes, screws. To access the battery assembly is a bit ridiculous the first time, but I mastered it after the second one. Those tabs are tricky! Make sure you have 3 “C” batteries for each light. As far as area illuminated, a wide path of 6’. They remain on with motion, off after about 30 secs without.

I really wanted to like this product, as the price point is amazing. I bought two, and installed the first one in a closet. It works great! It may be rated at only 80 lumens, but it lights up a closet just fine.
