I feel your expectations of a product should be in line with relative price paid. This desk meets the expectations. It looks nice, functions well. I don't think it is sturdy enough to hold up to use by children. You need to be careful when storing it or you could easily damage the hardware. The instructions leave a lot to be desired but the mounting hardware is very nicely engineered so your holes in the wall don't have to be absolutely perfect to be able to level the desk on the wall. Buy your own wall mollys because the ones that come with the desk are useless. I'm not sure what kind of wall works with a 2 1/2 wall molly.

Tried contacting the company itself a couple weeks ago but haven't received a response. The screws attaching between the hinges and boards aren't sturdy. Since the panels are made with particle board, the screws compromised the particle board and unattached immediately. It's a shame. The desk is a really good idea but poorly made.

This desk was easy to put together but not because...

This desk was easy to put together but not because of the instructions. They instructions are difficult to understand and I still haven't figured out how to hang it. Nothing tells you how high off the ground you need to be, how far apart or how to hang it! The lock is flimsy and made of the cheapest plastic available. Not sure how long that will hold if you repeatedly open and close it. IMO get one that may cost more but is made sturdier with better directions.

No written instruction. The visuals are pretty good but the lack of any written instruction was problematic. Overall quality was reasonable but the large screws and grommets for the wall hangers were poor - grommet was too large for the screw.

I really like the actual desk! It's exactly what I needed, sturdy enough space for my things, and doesn't take too much space up when folded. However, the instructions are horrendous. Worse than IKEA instructions. Trying to hang this on the wall was incredibly time consuming and frustrating because the instructions didn't explain clearly how far apart or how high the brackets needed to be. By the time we finally got the brackets the correct distance apart, and what we though was the correct height, it was actually about 2 inches off the floor when folded out. It was so difficult getting it up, that I just put a textbook under rather than try to move the brackets and rehang. The product itself is great, but beware of the instructions and good luck hanging it on the wall correctly.

I purchased this item for my daughter to use as a nail station, and it is going to work perfectly! it allows her to have a separate area without cluttering up her vanity or taking up valuable floor space when not used daily. I would definitely recommend this item for anyone that occasionally needs a little extra space.

Particleboard

Not a keeper. Most similar products list as MDF or particleboard. This item repeats that it is "durable wood". It is not. It is particleboard with a plasticlike veneer. I would question how long this can work. Even the pivot which bears the weight of the table is in particleboard and rotates on a small peg. They should be more honest in the description what this is made of.
