Excellent Quality Bathroom Faucet
I chose the brushed nickel style faucet as it does not show water spots as much as the chrome faucets. it is also a nice feature that these faucets come with a new pop up drain. Both the faucet and the drain were easy to install especially if you have shut off valves under the sink.
Love it except for the plastic cover below the neck of faucet. Cheap plastic cover. Has 4 tabs to hold in place. Comes off when cleaning. Tabs break easily and won't stay on. Other than that, I love it. Can't find way to replace the cover as I can't get a hold of Moen. Had faucet 2 yrs., don't have customer service no. to call and buy new cover.
leaking base
I had this faucet installed a couple of weeks ago and it looks nice but I find it poorly designed. When you turn off the water, you usually have wet hands still, and it seems to REALLY run back down the handle and into the faucet/around the base way more than any other faucet usually does - I feel like the cartridge isn't going to last very long.
Nice faucet but get your own plumber!
Nice looking faucet. However, the one I got ended up being defective according to the Lowe's installer.
Nice faucet
I really like the faucet. The faucet itself is super easy to install. Unfortunately, they provide a paper thin gasket for the drain flange. This gasket is pretty useless. The drain leaked from under the sink. I reinstalled the drain using silicone and I used plumbers putty on the rubber compression nut under the sink. That stopped the leaking. The instructions should indicate that if the flange gasket does not work, use silicone to seal the flange. The pop up stopper is ok. It does sit pretty high and even when it is pressed in the stop position, it still sits a bit high. But it is nice that you don’t have to install the stopper rod into the drain pipe.
Disappointing
I bought two of these faucets for my ensuite bathroom. I love the look of the faucet however both faucets I purchased had a defective cone gasket. The gaskets do not fit snug, the plumber had to put so much tape. It lasted a month then both started leaking. Called customer service waited on hold for over 2 hours!!!! They sent me new gasket which again didn’t fit properly. I ended up purchasing a whole new pop up assembly at $50 each plus the cost of plumber to come back was very disappointing considering the faucets were not cheaply priced.
Disappointing! Leaky Drain body Gasket.
This review is way overdue. I purchased two Moen Lindor faucets for my bathroom sink. I really liked the look of the faucet and read great reviews. I had a plumber install both faucets and both were leaky due to the cone gasket not fitting snuggly on the Drain Body. The plumber tried putting tons of plumber tape to stop the leak which worked for a month but again leak. Another service call in to the plumber costing me more money. The faucets were expensive to begin with and the added service calls to plumber was really disappointing. I called Moen was on hold for hours when finally got through I explained situation so they sent me a new Drain body with cone gasket and again the gasket was loose. Plumber recommended buying a separate Pop up plug assembly which I did, another cost of $50 each. Once plumber installed the separate piece I had to pay extra for there was no leak. Obviously manufacture defect! But on two of the faucets! If I didn’t throw away the boxes I would have returned both faucets. This cost me so much time and money. Disappointing experience considering Moen is supposedly a reliable product.
Moen Lindor faucet well made
The packaging on the Moen Lindor faucet is well done. The faucet and handle are made from solid metal, not some cheap plastic material. This gives a very solid feel. The sink stopper is a pop-up type (not a control rod). Never had this type before. I like that there is less 'clutter' under the sink since no control apparatus needed. However, I chose the Delta Arvo pop-up version over this Moen Lindor pop-up. The Delta pop-up screws into place within the drain line. The Moen pop-up is held in place by friction (I'm guessing that will eventually lose grip over time).
Typical Moen quality
Great faucet, great quality. Works great, looks great, operates smoothly. The instructions could have been better, not exactly intuitive. And what irritated me the most was an adapter is required between the 3/8" fittings on the faucet and the 1/2" fittings on the standard bathroom plumbing. And the adapter is not included. Makes for another trip to Lowes and the plumbing parts guy knows nothing of the Moen faucet. Irritating. So buy the faucet and the adapter in one trip. By the way, you will love the pop up drain stopper.
New Moen Faucet
Needed to replace the old faucet. Went to Canadian Tire and started looking at all the selections. An employee asked if I needed help. She was friendly and helpful. But the prices displayed contradicted what was on the shelf below. When I pointed that out she removed the price on the display model so the higher price was what I had to pay. Anyway, I chose a Moen faucet and she found one for me on the shelf. But I made a mistake. The one I was replacing has one of those push-down rods at the back of the tap to activate the drain to seal the sink. I failed to notice the one I picked did not have that; instead it is a pop-up drain plug. Rather than go back to exchange it, I swapped it all out. Everything works fine. Now I have to decide if I want to swap out the other 2 bathroom taps for the same model or for one that uses the old push-down rod to operate the drain. On the plus for the old system is that if something fell into the sealed sink, whatever dropped would be easily visible. Not so much with the new system as the drain plug always stands proud above the sink open or closed.
Love It!
I've bought a lot of stuff for a bath we had to fix. This is the only thing Ive been happy with. (well, aside from my floor tile)
Nice faucet... but, drainagee design flaw!
While this faucet looks good and is super easy to install, EVERYONE else failed to mention the drain system’s design flaws. I admit, it is nice that it’s a simple drop in, twist and done type of job. BUT - the head of that part is too a black plastic/pvc material (not an issue for me) and TOO TOO TOO thick. It doesn’t allow all water to flow out of the sink bowl down the drain, leaving a substantial residual ring of water sitting in the sink around the drain. I have to used tissue or a paper towel just to rid of the water. How aggy is that??!
Very clean addition to my bathroom
Typically, I avoid brushed surfaces when it comes to fixtures because of how quickly the tiny grooves trap grime. So far, this one has been able to maintain its finish admirably. The sink it is installed on is the one I use when I'm cleaning up from the garage - as in it is very, very, messy. Thankfully this wipes clean with little effort.
It's a Moen
It's a Moen, need I say more? I have been using Moen faucets for years and they are always reliable and beautiful. This one is no exception. And now it has the latest for stopping and releasing the drain. The faucet itself is very sturdy and heavy. Very classic look but stylish as well. Moen make faucets so easy to install they even include the tool. This is a very nice size faucet for the bathroom. Beautiful brushed finished. Also has the spot control so you are not always having to clean fingerprints and water spots off every time you use it. I have this same finish on my kitchen faucet and love it. The flow is perfect to too much or too little. It comes with the base plate that you can use or leave off if you have just a single hole in your counter. It takes longer to remove the old faucet then it does to install the new one. This is an exclusive design to Lowes so if you like it and need two you should pick it up as this design is not available in other stores. If you are in need of a new bathroom faucet this would be winner. Keep up the good work Moen as you have done it again.
Basic faucet, but very nice....
This is one very nice Moen bathroom faucet. Its not overly fancy, but not bland, either. I feel that it fits right in the middle where most people will appreciate it without it being overly-priced, or being "cheap-feeling", which it isn't. Once you open the box and lift the faucet out of it, you can tell right off the bat that this isn't made out of cheap materials. It feels heavy and sturdy. The brushed satin finish on it is beautiful and it lives up to its promise of the "spot resistance."
Excellent Faucet
This Moen faucet is very nice. The handle/valve operates extremely smooth. The nickel finish and design looks beautiful. The push-to engage and disengage the sink basin drain is also a different but welcome feature. The lifetime guarantee can not be beat. May I suggest you include the model number on the faucet paper work for future reference. Also, I realize the hot intake line has a label with the model number and does designate the "hot" side. Problem is the label is paper and after a couple years it with be gone or useless. Maybe add a metal "red" band to note the hot side for ease of instillation. Personally I gave the hot side a coupe of wraps with some red electric tape. Ultimately this is a excellent fixture.
