valve issue

the plastic cartridge must be forced very hard back into the copper base, or else it will leak and not work. its cover is not able to force the cartridge into place.

shower faucet is super easy to install

The shower head was missing. The faucet was already installed by a plumber when we realized it. Was not going to remove and return. Faucet works great. Review explanation: faucet =*****, Missing part is the cause of the low rating.

very basic but very nice single handle shower faucet. It appears to be quality and should last for years.

Defective valve

This valve was in use for 10 days before the hot water side of the valve completely stoped working. After so many reviews with the same problem, it’s obvious this product is defective yet HD still sells this product. After speaking with the manager, he offered another me the purchase of another brand at a reduced price. Which is great but, I would have to tear into the wall to get the old one out to get a refund. Never shopping at HD again. Not the first customer service problem I’ve had with HD

Unfortunately, the cartridge was faulty and the water would not get hot. I had to return the product and repurchase. I also had to get the plumber back to do that.

NO model number on cartridge

After taking the shower handle apart to replace the cartridge, there is no model number on it. You will have to take time to match it with a picture and hope it fits. Do not buy Glacier Bay

Valve seizes every couple of months

Valve worked fine for a couple of months and then the handle started to get difficult to turn. This was solved by dismantling the unit and removing the cartridge. Once reassembled, it worked like new again - for another couple of months. I’ve had to do this every couple of months since installing nearly 2 years ago. I installed the same style valve in another bathroom in my house at the same time and I have exactly the same issue. These are junk - don’t waste your money!

Bad Cartridge

I have had this just about 1 year. It's so hard to turn on. The cartridge is going bad. Now have to buy a new cartridge for $29 if I can find one. Save your money don't buy glacier bay shower faucet.

You cannot adjust this to get a nice warm shower so if that's what your looking for buy a better product or different brand

Glacier Bay needs to make replacement parts. They don’t make replacement parts. They want you to buy new parts.
