Entirely Disappointed

We ordered this shower handle in oil rubbed bronze knowing that the shipping date was going to take a while. 5 months later we get a refund and they cancellled our order. Build.com was a waste of our time.

[Rewarded Review] Fully functional and actually looks not bad !!!!!!

The look feel and finish were satisfactory, especially for the price paid. Although I had read other reviews and knew the escicheon or backing plate would be a “brushed nickel” like plastic, I was expecting it to be far worse than it actually looked and felt. The actual handle of the control valve is metal and as such feels solid. All in all, compared to 2-4 times more expensive alternatives it gets the job done for a decent price.

Shower Trim Kit

It fits as it should. I’m grateful because previous American standard brand kits did not fit. This kit includes the handle, cartridge for mixing valve, and the escutcheon/trim plate. The escutcheon/trim plate is plastic but seems durable. Quality product at a great price.

Plastic Escutcheon

I specifically bought this thinking it featured a metal escutcheon. I’m not sure what the point of a plastic one is except to give to children playing pretend house construction. This isn’t anything like today’s faucets using modern polypropylene water lines, this is flimsy junk that doesn’t belong as a permanent house fixture. Now I have to buy a separate metal one for another twenty dollars.

Love it except did not receive matching screws for outside plate.. they are not the same color as the plate they are silver and the pictures show it matches the plate.

Item never specified you need to purchase rough in assembly that the valve goes into, so this is just the valve and trim package. Even in manual it doesn't give you the rough in part # that goes with this kit.

Product arrived in a reasonable time frame. I was confused as to trim kits vs. valves on new American Standard lines. Be careful of valves vs. trim if like me you are not well versed :) Overall product is fine, but to reduce confusion, I may go with moen in the future?

I had never done any type of "plumbing work", and after watching a video, and reading the instructions, the shower handle was easy to install. The directions were straight forward and all the parts were there. The shower handle works great, looks great in my newly redone shower.
