Ho-hum lamp

This lamp is much shorter than expected, and the shade was coming apart at the seam when it arrived. Where I do like the oversized drum shade, and the handy touch to turn on function, I wouldn't buy this again.

Very hard to put together, lamp base bent, my husband thankfully with brute force got it together without too much damage...lamp shake was bent, now when the light is on you can see the bent marks through it, I have complained but didn't hear anything back, no where near worth $100.00 I paid for it. :(

93 year old mom loves this touch pole lamp

I bought this pole touch lamp for my 93 year old mom , who is now in a long term facility . The facility requires that any lamp etc has to be UL approved . This lamp is . I needed something tall and narrow to place it beside her recliner. This worked perfectly . Very easy to screw it together . Only took 5 minutes .

Terribly disappointing

lamp height is 53.5" not 58" as advertised and that makes a big difference for me. Also, arrived with dent in the base, lamp shade has 3 defects and small damages in addition to one of the shade supports not attached. Looks like it never was. I too had trouble screwing base pieces but did get it done. Sad as the design is beautiful but quality leaves much to be desired. Please update your specs for correct height.

BAD DESIGN

I bought this floor lamp with two matching table lamps because I like touch lamps. These are very nice looking, but they were designed by a moron. The pole, which is 2 inches in diameter, does not fit flush against the base but sits on a 3/4 inch diameter "stem". The pole is too heavy for the "stem" to support it, and the lamp topples over. I paid $95 for a lamp that is totally useless. It was also very difficult to screw the pieces together. I could not get them to screw all the way in, and I had to get my handyman to finish the job. He said something about "cross threading", but he was finally able to get the base assembled. It just will not stand up.

Good for the price

Pros: attractive looking; works well; I like the ability to tap it to turn it on and off

Mid-Century Modern Lamp on the cheap

The Hollywood Lamp came sturdily packaged and was easy to assemble. The only downside to the whole process was lots of little bits of styrofoam static-clinging to me and parts of the lamp. I installed a 3-way incandescent bulb (I guess I didn't read the original description well and was surprised it took a 3-way bulb) and it lit up and switched to the different levels with a light tap to the base or post. Very satisfied with the lamp.
