Never Received

Ordered on 4/14 & still have not received item. I’ve contacted AFW week after week & still have not heard back. It’s been over a month. Terrible service, will not buy from them again.

It is descent. Not great

so far so good. The legs that hold up the middle of the bed are not attached in anyway. This made setting up the bed more difficult than it should have been. Also, slight worry that the middle legs are not in straight and they will tip when/if the bed is moved causing instability. The instructions are not super clear.

Product used for spare bedroom. Was easy to move. However bottom finish was wringled.

Pretty good instructions to put together… you gotta be home or someone there if you get direct ship they just put it out there.

Style is nice, Quality not so nice

This platform bed is really nice looking for the money, however, a few things need to be noted. This bed sets the mattress at 12 inches above the ground, so with a box spring and taller mattress it sits way too high. The tarp like material and horizontal metal slats that form the platform do not meet from end to end vertically, it leaves a gap of about 7 inches between the head and foot of bed. Directions not clear do you put a 3.5 inch gap at each end, do you leave 7 inches at one end or another? There is a number to call, and they do answer, but they were not certain. Recommendation was to leave the gap equidistant from either end, once installed it can not be changed! After taking out the box spring and setting mattress straight on the platform, it squeaks like crazy when getting in and out of it. The squeaking appears to be coming from the mattress rubbing on the tarp like material which is rubbing on the metal cross bars. Also, mattress company would not give us a definite answer if bed without box spring is adequate to honor their warranty since the individual horizontal slats are not 3 inches wide. Also, much of the assembly requires screws going into bare wood so make sure you do it perfect the first time and good luck trying to return if it does not work out. Lastly, when it was initially delivered and set up with the box spring, the plastic protective corners on the box spring do not allow it to fit within the frame itself.

Kinda loud

Took a long time to assemble and directions at the end were confusing/wrong cause It told you to screw something in thay ended up needing to get unscrewed to put something else through it... anyways, it looks nice and seems sturdy but idk if it's my mattress or the bed but at night when I get in and out of bed or even just roll over it is so loud

Outside Vendor

The item was late. I called and customer service said once FedEx has the product. It isn't American furniture problem. Delivered to te wrong address and 3 day's late. With no help at all. If you don't buy "direct" then it is an outside vendor. First time customers have NO CLUE... Horrible customer service.

Great bed for what we needed!

The bed is sturdy and looks just like the picture. I was trying to find a bed that was not made of metal and instead had wood. This bed does have metal on the inside helping support, but the frame is wood. I will say, the packaging said it would take like 30 minutes to put together, and it took us three hours working together. So it’s not as easy as it might seem.

Does not work

Makes so much noise when I move …. And now my mattress feels stiff and my back hurts.

Beautiful

It’s a great bed. It’s look great! Building it was more difficult than anticipated, but other than that it’s color is wonderful. I’ll be buying the matching drawer set too!

Not so good

Not so good. It is shaky. Wood doesn't appear to be of good quality. Just looked online, but the real look and feel/touch isn't that great

This might have been one of the most frustrating build ever. The quality of the pre-fab wood was really poor. Looks great tho. Hope it lasts

Great price

It’s sterdy and looks great but the fabric makes a lot of noise when you move around in the bed. I bought insulation board for $26 at Home Depot and that helped eliminate that problem. The reason for the noise is that the mattress would rub against the material and between the metal bars.
