Smaller than pictured, but works great in space. Easy enough for one person to build. Very stable. I would recommend this piece of furniture for any home.

A Perfect Solution!

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. She is a very busy working mom and each day upon returning home, she drops her purse, diaper bag, and coat on the chair on the right of her entryway. I purchased, readily assembled, and installed this exactly where the “catch all†chair used to sit and it is perfect! Her entryway appearance and purpose has improved greatly! This is a perfect solution!

Just the right size hall tree

Finally found a hall tree that wasn't too big or too small. It was fairly easy to put together all by myself. It looks more expensive that the price. I just wanted a place for my purse and coat without having to use the kitchen island. This fit the small area I had by the door perfectly. I bought the solid gray but it still had some highs and lows in the coloring, quite lovely.

Stay away!!

This had potential, unfortunately we received a defective item. It took me 3 hours to put together, towards the end, I pulled off the sticker that labels the parts and the veneer came right off with it and the 2 shelves didn't line up. Overstock wanted me to take it apart to send back and will not provide a box for me. I guess I should have known better than to purchase furniture from overstock!!

Product was a little time consuming to put together. Also, one of the main boards didn't have the holes drilled for the wooden plugs to hold together. I had to measure out and drill myself to complete putting together the piece. Didn't want to wait to talk to customer service & it was a weekend and they were closed. Still did the job that needed for a cost effective solve to a "mud room" area.

Very lightweight, looks nice once assembled. They do not label the middle vertical piece of the cubbies - so READ STEP 18 CAREFULLY. If you put piece H in the wrong way you will have to pull apart the entire bottom half to flip that middle piece 180 degrees to ensure your shelves aren't uneven. Learn from my mistake and the mistake of others here commenting that shelved are uneven - they aren't. They just didn't assemble properly.

Like it.

So far so good! It’s sturdy and can hold winter jackets, shoes, leashes. Can store towels for the rainy/ snowy weather when the dogs are in and out. Took about an hour 45 minutes to assemble. Like the way it looks. Also packaged very well. No scratches, dents. No missing parts.

Coat Rack, Shoe Storage & Bench

I had limited space in the entry area and wanted a coat rack. It fit perfectly and looks great!! I like leaving my shoes, gloves, and coat at the door. It is very handy to sit while putting on my shoes. I purchased a small decorative box, for one shelf, holding gloves, sanitizer and masks. The only items I would change, are larger hooks and taller, to house longer or bigger coats.

Works Perfectly for Our Room

We are happy with this purchase. It fits perfectly at our front door. We needed something to hang guest's coats on and a place to put something down when coming in the door. The shelves are also nice. Believe it or not they are not full yet! We put baskets on the two bottom shelves

White hall tree

This was easy to assemble by myself. It just takes some time to put together. I liked the quality except for the back panels which are colored cardboard. Seems to be sturdy. You'll need to remove some of the labels on the side pieces before you attach them. Otherwise, the labels are showing and stuck under the side panels.

Reclaimed Pine- Brown. Look at pictures carefully.

The Reclaimed Pine doesn't look like pine at all. Looks like barn wood brown. Instead of using it in the room I intended to I needed to switch since the color in no way matched our pine furniture. To manufacture and purchasers when you assembly step 19 part H there is no reference to top or bottom so my husband was completely done and had to take it apart to fix. Being that this is particle board it could of been a disaster taking it apart, but worked out this time. Also to manufacture step 19 part E the bottom corner was chipped off when we took it out of the box. No way to glue it nicely since it's particle board. Thankfully it doesn't show. Possibly pack it better in that corner. Box seemed good and otherwise undamaged so it probably needs more padding in shipment box.

I have been wanting a hall tree for a while now. I have looked everywhere for one but I couldn't find one I was really happy with. I saw this one and I really liked the color and the measurements. I have a small space and I was not wanting a piece of furniture that would overwhelm. The only thing I am not happy with is the little compartments for the shoes. It sure can hold a lot of stuff though. Lol

Perfect shoe bench at my doorway

I needed a narrow shoe bench and place to hang my purse. I searched a long time to find one that fit my smallish space. And this was it. The wood looks really nice and it felt a bit wobbly while assembling, but once complete it feels really solid and looks fantastic! I just bought a nice cushion to set on it, and we will attach it to the wall but it's a perfect fit. I'm delighted with this purchase!

Beautiful addition to our home remodel

The instructions were a breeze to follow. If you can paint by number, you can build this. I did it by myself while my husband was installing insulation in the basement. It took some time to build but it was so worth the time. I love it, and so does my family. A great addition to the home remodel.

It looks good but this thing was tedious to assemble. I got it all the way assembled and went to put the shelves in and they are lopsided. I know I have all the pieces in the correct place but either one of them is backwards or the holes are drilled offset. It would be extremely difficult to try to disassemble it and reverse the pieces so I decided to drill new holes. It worked but now I have extra holes if you look closely. I probably wouldn't have bought it if i had known how hard it would be to assemble.

Small Compact and Worth It!

This was really easy to put together. Pay attention to the hooks. I initially put them on upside down. You will need an extra hand to put it together but for the most part it is super easy. the wood is the quality to be considered for the price you pay. My suggestion is to put it together carefully so that you don't compromise the wood. Purchase this if you want this style furniture but only have a small space to fit it in. It fit perfectly.

Great looking, sturdy; time consuming assembly

Bench was exactly what I expected. Color is perfect. Assembly was easy and straightforward but VERY time consuming (about 2 hours). Literally every board comes unassembled, including the slats. The back of the seat (the part right below the hooks on down to the seat) is actually paperboard, but the slats are made of a heavy wood composite, so you can't tell, but it MUST go up against a wall because the back looks like cardboard (plus it needs restrained to a wall for safety, if kids are ever in your house). I'd say this is a great value for the money. Just don't buy it expecting it to look/feel like a $*** solid wood bench. It is definitely sturdy, heavy, looks great, and perfect for shoe and backpack storage. On ours, the drill holes for one of the hooks was crooked (no big deal, we have a drill), other than that no issues, no damage, good assembly instructions.

Hall Tree

The quality of this product is great and the color matched exactly what I selected online. I was very pleased, although I do wish it stood a bit taller, but this was my oversight when ordering. The shelves are also adjustable, so you can either choose to put smaller baskets or larger. I elected to put larger (cloth) baskets on the bottom and smaller plastic baskets on the top shelves. There is room for 4 small plastic (2 on each side) baskets up-top the way I placed the height of the shelves.

Pick another Halltree that is better built.

I have bought items through Overstock for several years. This is the first time that I am disappointed. The quality is just not there. I was surprised how flimsy it looks. I would not have purchased this item if I had seen it in the store. It looks like piece of furniture that you might purchase at a discount furniture store. The ones that the people run from other countries. They used faux cardboard with wood printing on the back panel. Not one piece of real wood on the back. Pick another one.
