Clearly stated in the description and in the specifications the shelf is metal, however, it is plastic-coated and I would not have purchased had I known that. Otherwise, the size is just what I need.

They are good quality. Not thin and flimsy. I got this set because it was cheaper than buying them individually. I got them for my little kitchen gadgets that didn't need the whole height of the shelf. I felt it was wasted space. Now I have my sandwich maker, little waffle maker, and my egg cooker and have room for another little gadget.

Attractive wire rack to organize some office space

The bronze/brown color of the wire rack is much more subtle that the typical white or metal look racks. I am using it on my desk to hold my laptop beside my separate screen to do financial and personal tasks. looks nice and works well.

Not very much shelf for $10. The shelf I ordered a year ago for $8 was a little larger and about 1 1/2 X the size of wire used. This one will work but it is nowhere the quality last year's model was. What do we expect from China? Garbage. But we still kiss China's backside for 80% of our products. Offer more USA stuff and we will buy it. You (and everyone else) charge USA prices for crap made overseas.
