Poorly packaged and damaged. No damage to the box so this is a packaging issue not a shipping issue.

It is a decent bookshelf. It’s definitely not fine furniture but functional. The faux wood veneer is very thin and will crack if a screw is tightened snuggly - so care should be taken when assembling.

For the price, you obviously can't expect much, but this is def as cheap as I'll ever sink to. I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to use it when I first put it together, especially in my living room. And seriously, the backing is so cheesy - it made me laugh when I first pulled it out of the box. A couple years ago, almost $* would have gotten you something at least half decent. Anyways - this would not be a good focal piece, not something I'd use alone and not something I'd purchase for a forever home's living room. However, you can still make it look good with the right furniture around it and shelving decor. I'll probably pair it was an oversized chair of good quality and a taller, potted tree to make it look put together. If you're looking for an apartment, bedroom, something that you're not wanting to use forever, go for it. Just don't set your standards too high. Less
