Extremely Comfortable

My wife and I bought this mattress in a Twin at Walmart . We needed something to replace the factory mattress in a tractor trailer. We wanted something that would be comfortable so we wnt with a Serta. This mattress is really thick and has just the right amount of give to it. I know we will not be disappointed.

I can finally sleep again.

Recently in an industrial accident and had back surgery. Had such a difficult time sleeping only an hour or two a night. The first night sleeping on this mattress I got 5 hours the second night I got 6. My only regret is getting out of bed in the morning. With the adjustable base this bed was well worth the price. I have recommended this bed to everyone.

One little glitch...

Nice mattress. It will meet our Murphy Bed needs. When the mattress was unwrapped we found a pick in the fabric cover from top to bottom. It took a while to receive this item, and to return the item and reorder would take longer. We opted to contact Sealy to replace the cover. Sent an email and haven't hear back yet. Hopefully Sealy will mail us a new cover.

This mattress is exactly what we were looking for . We had purchased the Hybrid plush and that wasn’t for two people one 100lbs and the other 199lbs . This non hybrid is perfect, don’t feel like sinking in or up a hill . We are both side sleepers and this works great on top of the fact gives the support I need for my back issues and numbness I suffer with from a previous car accident.

Atrocious service, ok mattress

The mattress and frame are fine but the customer service was atrocious. Mattress box was left in driveway in a puddle in the rain with no notification even though I paid to have the old mattress hauled away. Had to call and schedule a third appointment. Not likely to put myself through that again.

Level of comfort

I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it. Since getting it, my arms go numb while I sleep and I am not sure if it provides proper support for me or not because when I wake up in the morning, my body feels sore. I have also tossed and turned since getting it. Still trying to see what's up though. It may be the base. I can't tell.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL

Fully inflated parts of the mattress are comfortable. Unfortunately, the ends and corners of the bed never inflated past five inches. Went back and forth with Serta and they ARE honoring the warranty and sending out a new mattress; however, I am responsible or disposing of the defective one, despite having been told by one of the reps that they would remove it for me. They are not providing any sort of refund to compensate me for disposal fees, AND the warranty on the old mattress will be transferred to the new one, meaning I've already lost three months' warranty on a mattress I have yet to receive. I purchased online because mattress stores rank second behind car dealerships in my list of places I avoid, but at least with a local store, I would not have to deal with disposing of an obviously defective piece of garbage.

Comfortabe

Easy to unload. Comfortable. didn't have an odor. My first king sized mattress and I'm addicted. Only complaint was that the actual box was pretty damaged when it arrived (ie pieces of the cardboard box were missing and you could see into the box) so made me extremely nervous about if the mattress itself was damaged but I then saw that it was wrapped in thick plastic so it made me feel a little better. No issues that I've noticed since.

Not King size mattress measurements

We ordered a king mattress and let it expand for an entire week on the floor as we waited for our box springs to be delivered. No bad smell like some reviews say so we were pleased. But it goes all down hill from here. We also purchased a king serta mattress cover measuring 78 x 80. The cover was fitting slightly larger than the mattress which was weird cause the Lowe’s website said mattress was 78 “ x 81” but no big deal. Once we placed it on the box springs we had gaping spaces on all sides of the bed. We measured the mattress and realized it was only measuring 74” x 76” OMG! We checked the manufacturers label on the mattress and it read, Finished Size: 76” x 79.5”. NOT EVEN KING MEASUREMENTS. But it didn’t even expand to those measurements. Good grief. So we thought defective product no big deal they’ll help us out. After 2 calls to Serta and 3 calls to Lowe’s, their horribly manufactured mattress has become our major head ache. In order to get a refund, we were told after 5 phone calls that we have to donate it somewhere and get a donation receipt then bring that receipt along with the legal label off mattress and original purchase receipt. Guess what, not many charities accept mattresses even a brand new $1200 one. We’re still working to find one who will accept it. Plus we paid for delivery of it to our house and was told we may not get that fee back. Absolutely absurd!!! This has been so aggravating and disappointing since we already have one of these mattresses in another guest bedroom and love it. It was gifted to us 5 years ago. Guess they took more pride in their manufacturing and customer service back then. I’m now gun shy to purchase a Serra replacement. Now to keep working on finding a charity in my area who will take it so I can get my money back.

Great Mattress, BUT...

This is one of the most comfortable mattresses that I have had in a while. I would definitely recommend it to others BUT not without the warning of the smell. The smell is unbearable I don't have an extra room to air it out so I had to open windows and put baking soda water around the room and it still took over a week for the smell to get mild enough for me to sleep on the mattress. I was fortunate enough to be able to sleep in my grandbabies room for that time. I would never let a mattress air out in my garage. The mattress is comfortable and to me worth the airing out inconvenience.

Buyer beware

What a disappointment! I was a little skeptical of the “bed in a box” concept but I bought the mattress that was a few steps above the bottom, so I thought it would be okay. I’m only 180 lbs and it’s just me sleeping on it but about a month after sleeping on it, it’s already started to sag. If I find myself slightly out of “the hole”, my body is fighting to avoid falling back in—I sleep on my side and my perception is that my position is not secure.

Splendid Slumber, Indeed

I was in the market for a new mattress and came across this one. I had recently seen & heard things about the whole "mattress in a box" idea. So I decided to order it. With the claims and description, I was intrigued and hoping that it lived up to what it claimed to offer. The mattress was/is for my master bedroom for myself and my husband. I have severe fibromyalgia, degenerative disk disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, amongst other things. So I am ALWAYS in pain, ALWAYS. Poor sleep, along with a poor quality mattress (and/or the wrong type of mattress) only makes these issues worse. My husband has scoliosis (curved spine) which is another reason why our choice of mattress is extremely important. When it arrived, even though I knew it was a "mattress in a box", I was still surprised by the size of the box. I even had the thought that they sent the wrong item because I didn't understand how a queen size mattress could fit in a box of its shape and size. But lo and behold, it was indeed the right one. It was rolled tighty, covered in plastic. I appreciated that they included a plastic cutter that resembled some kinds of mail openers. Made it more convenient. Since it was rolled so tight, along with some of the reviews I have seen, I was worried about it being able to unfurl and open up into the appropriate shape and size. Luckily, within a day it was good to go. We have been using this mattress for a little over 3 months now, I believe. We both are pleasantly surprised by not only the quality but how much we like it and have benefitted from it. I get hot very easily and the cooling claim seems to be accurate. I dont get as hot on this mattress. There seems to be more breathability and airflow. The support isnt too firm or too soft, its perfect. It does actually relieve pressure and help support the right areas. I can also attest to it living up to its claim of minimizing my partners movements. I dont feel him moving or rolling over as much as I did with other mattresses. I also like that it has an antimicrobial cover to help prevent odor and bacteria. I feel like since we have been using this mattress, when I wake up I feel more rested, my body doesnt feel as tight, I'm able to fall asleep faster, more comfortable overall. My husband has been having a bit less discomfort with his back as well. So I am so glad that I took a chance on this mattress. I hope it benefits and helps other people just as much as it has for us.

Comfortable with cooling features

I really like this mattress. It’s very comfortable. It came rolled up in plastic . It came with a tool to open the plastic wrap without hurting the mattress. Super easy to use the tool ! I recommend that you have your mattress where you want it because as soon as the plastic seal is open , the mattress starts to take form . Within five minutes my mattress was completely at its full size . There was a slight smell from it being encased in plastic but it was not unpleasant and it was gone in about 1 hour . Sleeping on this mattress was an absolute dream ! I have problems with my back and find this mattress supportive . I’m also a side sleeper and I feel like this mattress is perfect for side sleeping . This has cooling gel in it and the summer it has proven to be quite handy and a really great feature of this mattress !

Mattress in a box...

This mattress sleeps LIKE A DREAM. Pun intended. You really don't even know what you're missing before you try out this mattress. It gives the right about of firmness without being too hard, and it is supportive as well. Really takes away the aches and pains of getting older. The cooling part is great, and something that took me by surprise, as it actually IS cooling! The comfort is unreal, and I will be a customer for life!!!

Sleeps like a dream

I ordered this Splendid Slumber 12" Foam mattress from Serta to replace my current mattress. I did not realize what I was missing until I slept on this cloud. So comfortable, It cradles the body to provide just the right amount of firmness. It's plush without being too soft. The gel in the mattress also helped me stay cool, all night long. The best part of this mattress? It comes in a box. Front door delivery of my bed? Yes please! You just follow the directions and open the box and unfurl the mattress on the platform. That's it! You are now ready for the slumber of your dreams. I am very satisfied with this mattress.

High quality

This mattress came very well packaged and rolled up. It took about 2 hours for the mattress to inflate to original shape and form. The mattress is a great quality. There were no snags, tears, or any flaws upon arrival. The memory foam is just enough for support and I like that I don't feel as if I'm sinking far into the mattress. It is a very thick mattress and after setting it on my box spring it was much too high for the pets to jump on. I love the mattress sp much I decided to just purchase steps for the pets!

THIS BED IS AMAZING

I cannot tell you enough good things about this mattress. I had a pillow-top mattress previously and I was so uncomfortable with it, it wasn't providing the support I needed. This mattress was great from the beginning, I loved how easily it was delivered to the house...in a box. We let the mattress sit out for a few days before using it so that it would fluff up a little, due to being in the box. It was great, the comfort is unreal. You will be so happy with the the comfort of this mattress, it is so amazing. I haven't slept this good in years, great brand.
