It looks strong but it really isn't

Not heavy enough

Just what I wanted and it is sturdy to keep the umbrella in place. I will have this for many years in the future.

The extender pole for three stand has holes drilled in the wrong location so it doesn't match the base. Trying to get this switched out with the third party provider has been proven to be overly complicated. We are still without the correct part.

Sturdy

Heavy and good quality. Downside is the umbrella sits high in it since the pole does feed through.

Looks great. Heavy enough to hold the folded umbrella in windy conditions. Very happy with the purchase.

This stand is solid and sturdy, and very attractive. I would definitely buy it again.

Artistic Base

This base has a unique criss cross pattern with a unique antique-like brassy finish. What it lacks in mass is made up for by its larger diameter, providing good support for the umbrella post, however, the clamping screw allows the umbrella to unpredictably rotate in the breeze, especially when the umbrella is in its tilted position, no matter how tight it is made. Use caution.

The stand is good and sturdy, and I’m sure when I’ve purchased the umbrella, it will work fine. However, it was advertised as if it was the same color match as the dark bronze table and chairs. However, it does not match color wise and we have since repainted it to match the color of the table and chairs. On the Home Depot site it was listed as “a you might like this” at the bottom of the details for the table and chairs. The photo looked the same color. Why Home Depot would advertise it as this would go great with your table of dark bronze when the stand is a medium brown with gold flecks and it’s not even a close match is beyond me.

The base showed up before the table & chairs I ordered so I assembled it and put it on the deck. Several days later when assembling the table I noticed the umbrella stand was already rusting around the edges. I recommend getting a cast aluminum stand if you want to avoid rusting.

Does the job with style

Well made good style. Could be 5 stars (only had it a few months - the season will determine how well the finish holds up). Went together easily. Be aware there is no drain hole in the base tube, and it will collect moisture.
