American Standard Elongated Toilet Seat Model 5257A65MT.020
The toilet seat slides over to one side and does not sit straight on the toilet bowl (bought complete toilet). We have tried to reconnect it without success. On one side of the top, the screw cover will not clamp closed, so it is sticking up. I do not like the quality of this toilet seat.
Updated style works for us
I replaced a previous slow-close American Standard seat which still worked but showed signs of wear. It came with the home we purchased.

What was delivered was a bathroom pipe and not my toilet seat that I ordered. Very frustrating

Item was described as “quick release” in the specifications but is definitely not. It can only be removed by unscrewing it from the toilet. Also the curvature was off from my existing American Standard toilet profile. The front was slightly short and the sides bulged out over the rim.

The American Standard soft closing toilet seat and lid is a superior product. The plastic seat is curved for comfort and the soft closer makes it a winner. They offer two different methods for installing so it could fit any model. I would highly recommend this seat.

I love any American-Standard product, but why I ordered TWO I'll never know..
If you have to sit on it for any long time, it becomes a little uncomfortable with the sharp edges on the interior ring.

This is THE ONE. I have tried other seats and this is the one that I was trying to find all along. I tried Lowe’s and Home Depot and they didn’t seem to have just this literally American Standard seat. Thank you Wal-Mart. Lol. Easy installation with options to fit different sizes.

Disappointed
This toilet seat for the money is embarrassing. It is so poorly constructed. If you sit on the under constructed lid to get dressed it crashes down and squashs over to the side. If you want to spend 60+ dollars spend it on something else or be prepared to be disappointed.
