Decent for the price

It's a pretty sturdy gate, although it's a little tricky to assemble. My only complaint is the closure is a bit odd and not very smooth.

Wanting a gate that doesn’t have a bottom piece to trip over and the gate goes both ways so much better! Highly recommend

Exactly what we needed

I wanted a gate for the steps on our deck, to keep the dogs off the deck when we have company. This gate is strong enough to keep them out, without being heavy or difficult to open and close.

Doggie gate

Who knows what Poppy (the dog) thinks, if anything? It looks good. Not too hard to install. The latch is a bit problematic; takes some effort to open. Otherwise fine.

Look and ease to install

These were so easy to install. They look great. Will take time to see how sturdy they are.

The installation was quite simple for anyone who is even a little handy with tools. The only reason for 4 stars was the locking mechanism. It is a little odd and I’m not sure how long it will hold up. Other than that, which may not even be a problem, it is perfect.

Deck Gate

I got a new deck this summer and it has black aluminum side slats. I found the Cardinal outdoor gate and decided to see if it would match. I absolutely love how it looks as if it were made to match the spindle.

We attached this to a metal railing (with some drilling and extra work) and it works very well

Great product!

We were able to add an extension and get it all set up in about 30 minutes and now we can keep our dogs in! The hardest part is remembering and showing everyone how it works!

Not as advertised

You advertise the gate height as being 29.5 inches. It is actually 27.75 inches tall.

Like it but it's kind of flimsy not as good of quality as I hoped

We bought 2 black gates for our deck. They were easy to install and easy to operate
