Carlyle Illuminated Desktop Globe

I received my globe promptly. The packaging was excellent and with no damage to the merchandise. The globe's appearance is exactly the same as represented in the photos provided. My only concern is while the globe is illuminated. The seam between the top and bottom sections is noticeable. Perhaps an off white bulb may help make the seam less noticeable.

I purchased this globe because of it's unique beauty. The light inside is soft and gives off a lovely glow. It is very well made and has a sturdy base. I am delighted with this purchase.

Disappointed

I gave this globe as a Christmas gift to my son-in-law. It was his main gift. He was very pleased to see it when he opened it but I was very disappointed that it would not illuminate when plugged in as the bulb inside didn't work. Now he needs to go and purchase a bulb and replace it before he can enjoy his gift.

sturdy, detailed, looks like bulb is an easily replaceable 7w bulb, looks attractive when lit. I researched a lot of sites/products, this meets my expectations of quality, style, and value. Definitely and accent piece to our office but detailed enough to show my 9 & 8 year olds the world map. My husband is very picky, loves it. For $3.99 shipping, it arrived in 2 days, wow.

cord

I am not happy with how the cord comes out of the globe. I wish the cord fed thru the bottom wood plate and was channeled in the bottom of the wood plate. It wouldn't show as much then.

where's the equator?

purchased this globe as a gift for a friend, and noticed that there is no 'taped' equator line. this seemed somewhat unfinished to me. my question is...is this a defect, or is this the way the globe is supposed to be?
