I love everything about this rug, EXCEPT that I couldn’t purchase it any larger than an 8x10. It doesn’t shed as bad as my other rugs, it’s very soft, fluffy, stylish, and neutral.I have it in the master bedroom but love it so much I’m thinking about moving it to the living room.

Excessive Shedding

very attractive, however sheds worse than six dogs, clogs the vacuum roller. By the time the shedding stops the rug will be thread bare. This is the first time I have been disappointed in a Safavieh rug.

This rug is nice from a distance. It sheds worse than a dog. If I would have known I wouldn’t have made the purchase! Sigh.

This carpet sheds terribly. It is making a big mess in my house. Waaaay overpriced.

Well made, sturdy and soft rug!

Beautiful, solidly made rug that also is soft to the touch. The frey on the edges is so intricately designed and the weave is perfect. Excellent addition to my daughter’s room - would definitely recommend this rug!

Must fluff/comb before judging

I am mostly happy with this Safavieh shag rug.I stick with that brand because I have always been satisfied with it.This rug must be fluffed & vacuumed a few times before it becomes attractive.The tassels are sturdy & the pattern just enough.

Great accent rug

This rug is so fluffy and stylish. I would not use it in a high traffic area because it tends to shed when overused. It is an accent rug in our side room off the kitchen. Our piano bar! I recommend

Unique Rug that makes a statement.

We are obsessed with this rug! It's definitely "furry" so if you want something silky, this is not the rug for you. It feels very unique and bohemian and it makes me smile each time I head up the steps and walk down the hall to my bedroom. It has been shedding a little, but nothing terrible yet. I have not vacuumed it yet. Overall, I think it's super special!

I really like Safavieh rugs and have ordered many for different design projects. I really love the simple pattern of this one, and you can't beat the beautiful texture of natural wool. I would definitely purchase this again.

Love the color of this rug. The pile height is amazing. Very cozy. I needed a rug for my hallway and I wanted something neutral but added character- this is it. Love Overstock for affordable finds!

The reason I give it one star is because it's a beautiful rug, but it has not stopped shedding, bad, since I got it in my home. The wool balls are all over my house hours after vacuuming. It's a nightmare.

The vibe and look of this rug is gorgeous! The color looks beautiful against my hardwoods and could read either brown or grey depending on the light. It isn't as stark as a true black and which, which I really love. The tassels are adorable. I believe this rug is 100% wool on the pile (cotton backing), so shedding is expected and normal. I've had it in my master bedroom (light traffic) for 8 months and it is still shedding 8 months in - although it is slowing. I use my regular vacuum (without the beater bar) and haven't had any trouble with snags. The shag style is very cozy and forgiving for traffic. Since it sheds, I also don't pile laundry on the rug, which is probably a good thing. Overstock is one of my favorite sources for rugs - this is a great value for this quality rug! I will have this one for years.

I love this rug. It is perfect and looks just like the photos. The gray lattice pattern is extremely light and is hardly noticeable, which I like. It is also more plush than I expected, and although I ordered a rug pad it really doesn't need it! The tassels on the end are so cute. As per some reviewers, since it is natural wool, it WILL have a slight odor and shed for a couple weeks. Since this is not my first wool rug I expected this. Just a tip, don't use your vacuum with the beater-bar ON, it is harsh on the fiber and will make your rug shed MORE! I am so happy with this purchase! Hope this helped!

Great price for the size and look - makes all the vacuum canisters of shedded fluff worth it. The fluff bunnies it makes are par for the course, and it lightens up my dining room considerably. It's chic and great for low traffic areas. The rug is coarse, however, and may not be comfortable in a playroom where kids/people sit directly on the rug. My cats don't seem to mind, though.
