Pretty much the perfect generic kettle

It’s easier to list the shortcomings first, because there are so few:

The Perfect Electric Kettle

I love this electric kettle so much! It's a replacement for the gift our son gave us years and years ago. We loved that one too, but with our hard water and 3 to 4 uses a day, we gad pretty much worn it out. The pop open lid needed manual assistance, and it had some hard water residue along the bottom of the sight glass. But it was still working! We loved it for so long, we wanted to replace it with the exact same item. And we found it! I'm English, so I drink a lot of tea, and the water must be at a full boil. This stylish kettle does the trick. It feels very well made, and our old kettle is a testament to that. The 'finished' beep is very subtle, but audible enough to tell you when the water is ready. There's no down side to this kettle. It's the perfect kettle.

The Perfect Kettle

The name of this product is incredibly appropriate; it IS perfect! We purchased this electric kettle as a replacement and couldn't be happier with our choice. My wife and I both enjoy different types of teas and I prefer my coffee made with a french press, and this kettle facilitates it all. Our beverages have never been better!

Hard to beat! It's a solid kettle.

So far so good. Our last kettle (not Cuisinart) only lasted 6 years so I'm hoping that this one will last twice as long. It's more complicated than the other one but that means that it has more features for specific teas. My big hope is for durability.

Works as we hoped plus a good online sale

I compared several electric kettles that would heat to specific temperatures, and this one had all that we needed. It shuts off right when it reaches temperature, rather than letting the water heat for several seconds longer, and the "keep warm" feature works well. It took a couple of tries to learn, but it is very straight forward without lots of extra bells and whistles.

The kettle I didn’t know I needed

I had an electric kettle that simply boiled water but had no idea how good tea can taste when brewed at the right temperature. With my Cusinart I can easily select the right temperature for green tea, black tea etc to get the best flavor. I love it!

So many choices

This kettle does much more than what I wanted. I just needed a kettle to boil my tea water. It has so many programs I’ll never use. But that said there are a lot of choices to do every kind of brewing. Wow

Should Have Bought This One The First Time!

I work as a nanny, and have used the family’s Cuisinart electric kettle for 7 years. They used it 2 years before that. It’s great. I made the mistake of buying a cheap one for myself and it was a total waste of money. Quit working in less than a year. Buy the Cuisinart, people! It’s worth it.

Got Overcharged

I was overcharged for this item by Walmart.com It was on sale online, about $33 cheaper than in the store. So I purchased it online for store pickup. It said my purchased price was $67.81 plus $5.93 sales tax, for a total of $73.74. It was supposed to be for same day pickup, but I got an email saying it would be ready the next day, even though my store had them in stock. I picked it up. I went to my Visa account at my bank and it showed a charge for $77.23. My Walmart receipt online said it was a temporary hold. I went to the store about this and they said they couldn't help me, as it was an online purchase and had nothing to do with the store and I should phone 1-800-Walmart. So, I did and was told that the hold was from my bank and not from Walmart and to call my bank. I did and was told there was no hold, but that the $77.23 was the actual charge from Walmart and the bank would open up a claim. So far, I haven't used the kettle because of the price hassle in case I have to return it. I could have gotten this item for the exact same price without the hassle and higher price than advertised at several other stores, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target and others. Walmart wants customers to purchase online for store pickup or delivery, but there are glitches like this. Not only that, but the Walmart store managers were rude about this and the store manager on duty at night walked away from me without helping me, except to say to phone online customer service. I had to wait for 15 minutes for her to show up and help me. On top of that I had ordered and paid for a bag for the item, but didn't get one when I picked up the merchandise. Meanwhile, my store in La Quinta, CA, is being remodeled. What they need to do is improve service. As for the kettle itself, it looks like it would be a good one if I am ever able to use and get this overcharge straightened out. I did a lot of research on kettles, both stove top and electric, and decided on this one due to the sale price. It's certainly not worth the full, regular price of $100.

Perfect

I was looking for a higher-end new kettle to make an investment in. I had heard good things about this kettle with the different temperatures for different kinds of tea. I use it mainly for black tea; it boils more quickly than other kettles I've had and I love the "keep warm" function! I've thus far really enjoyed it.

Cuisinart Tea Kettles PerfecTemp

Fast, efficient, easy, better than stovetop teapot

Great electric kettle. We used to have a tank style water heater that we kept hot all the time but felt that was wasting energy. This unit we fill to the desired level when needed and it heats the water to the selected temperature really fast (certainly faster than the stove top teapot). The base has a cord to be plugged in but the unit has no cord, making it very easy to pour the heated water anywhere in the kitchen (or wherever).

Great Kitchen Appliance

The Cuisinart Kettle is a wonderful appliance. I love the six temperature control features. It allows for perfect water temperature every time. I recommend everyone should have one in their kitchen.

Nice simple tea pot

This is nice to turn on an walk away instead of a stove top tea kettle. It’s pretty self explanatory. Chose kind of tea you are brewing and press it to heat to that type of tea. When ready, a audible sound will tell you it’s ready.

Right out of the box won’t work

Got it out of the box plugged it in press the black tea option, and it won’t boil. Green tea option works, but everything else automatically shuts off as if it’s overheating. It is incredibly disappointing. I had such high hopes, and this is my first ever electric kettle.

Great, versatile kettle

Love this kettle! This is what makes me glad I bought: the preset settings, water stays hot/warm even after turned off, easy on/off, temp of 160 allows the making of a cup of tea that you can drink pretty much right away without burning your mouth, if live way above sea level like I do and pasta water takes a long time to boil, you can boil a full kettle of water to empty into a saucepan much quicker than my gas stove. This is good for a household with family members that drink different types of tea; there is a temperature setting for everyone. Good job Cuisinart!

Awesome Electric Kettle

We always get the same replacement. Every 5-7 years. Love this electric kettle. Need to figure out a way to clean the calcium build up.

Cuisinart kettle - Amazing

I bought a new Cuisinart kettle to replace a previous one of the same make. I had my last one for 6 years. It was duvet until the electrics failed!

Don’t hesitate on this one!

Very happy with the purchase of this pot. It heats very quickly. I love that you can see the water boil and the blue lights are an extra plus! It’s very countertop friendly and doesn’t take up a lot of space but holds a decent amount of water. I can’t think of one thing that I don’t like except that I wish I purchased it before purchasing the one I have. You seriously can’t go wrong with this one! I
