Not sure about durability
Bought a number of these in Canada and installed in Baja California Sur. Loved the look originally but the water down there is extremely hard and the faucet trough scales. Not the faucets fault but getting it off impacts the bronze finish. We installed a softener that dealt with that but then started to experience the spurts of water straight out of the faucet every time the softener back flushed. Finally this year the second of the faucets failed and started leaking into the cabinet. The local plumber has indicated that it cannot be repaired and I am not in a position to question that but am definitely not removing the faucet to bring it back to Canada, particularly since I am not sure the limited warranty would apply and am I am not sure we have the invoice from the original construction. I was looking to perhaps buy two more but I never realized how much the retail price was per unit. While it is our dream winter house I can’t start paying retail, shipping and custom duties to match the master bathroom sinks with the remaining fixtures throughout the house.
5 Stars
We love this faucet. My husband wanted a waterfall and I wanted the quality of Delta. It is more stunning in person even then in the picture. We look forward to many years of use and enjoyment.
5 Stars
The finish of the Cassidy Waterfall Bathroom Faucet is beautiful! I chose the satin nickel and it is really a standout. I chose to buy on Overstock as they had the best pricing by over a % discounted amount. It arrived from another seller where I would have paid much more for the same item. I recommend this faucet and would buy it again.
Great quality
This was a very simple installation. The faucet has the feel of quality while in use. We had mounted it in conjunction with a petrified wood vessel sink that stands 6.5" off the counter surface. The height of the faucet offered good clearance for the sink and a dimension slightly greater than the golden ratio. Flow is limited to provide a cascade rather than a gush of water. Down side is cost.
Gorgeous faucet! Goes fantastically with the Elements Vessel Sink. Has a modern but elegant look and the design is well balanced. Water flows wonderfully, has a nice arc and doesn't shoot out to far. Only issue, water doesn't always drain from channel because interior of channel is a bit rough. I wouldn't use with a low sided vessel, you might get water bounce off the sink.
Nice faucet - no grate drain - extra odd spout part
This faucet arrived in a box without a drain. The understanding is that there are different drains available and it's your preference which you want which is actually an issue but that depends on your specific faucet selection. Delta DOES inform you in the manual that this faucet is for vessel sinks and is not available with a pop-up drain and covers drain installation for the grid-strainer "specifically for model 798LF only" which is this specific faucet in the delta "Cassidy" collection. There are many reviewers frustrated with the fact that this faucet does not have a pop-up drain which most vessel sink set-ups do not allow in function and design. I also noticed a strange looking insert in the spout of the Venetian Bronze finish on the 798LF-RB model which I specifically received. It looked odd and not aesthetically pleasing at all so I looked in the manual to see what exactly it was and found not a single drawing, part diagram or acknowledgement of this strange part. I then proceeded to look at product photos on-line of other available finishes to see if it was included on them as well. The photos showed that no other finish had it so I contacted a customer service representative regarding this oddity of which I was assuming added for finish durability specifically related to the organic composition of this Venetian bronze finish. Through much discussion with the representative, he contacted the product development department for more in-depth answers because he was not totally aware of the extra spout part since it's not identified. Part of the response is as follows:
Beautiful and Easy to Install
This is a beautiful faucet! Has an old world charm and yet it is very stylish and functional.
Venetian Bronze Faucet for Vessel Style Sink
The faucet is a dark bronze color. It looks like oil rubbed bronze with copper highlights. I have included close up pics so that you can see the highlights and how well the faucet works with a granite type deck. It measures 10" from the granite counter top. The installation is very straightforward and simple with 1/2" connectors. The instructions provide clear pictures. This style has the spout that makes it a unique type faucet with a unique on-off handle. It is modern workmanship with the old world charm. I was a little puzzled when I saw the instructions for the pop-up assembly included in the instructions that came with the faucet because there was not a pop-up assembly included in the box. I thought that it was missing from the box. When I checked online I found that the product does not include the pop up assembly. That is the only negative about this beautiful faucet. It seems like the manufacturer should have included the pop up in the product because it is a high end faucet. You shouldn't use abrasives or polish on the finish. They recommend that you wipe it with a damp cloth and then towel dry. If the spout gets lime scale from use, I think that maybe vinegar could remove it. I wouldn't use a lime remover product on this finish.
Simple. Stylish.
Dark brown with shiny coppery highlights. We paired this with a small copper sink bowl and it looks nice, but would look good with the glass sinks as well. Pretty and unique looking. I have other Venetian bronze faucets, different sizes, and they all match and look to be about the same quality as far as materials and "guts". This one is pricey, and I would guess that is more due to fashion trends. If you got money to burn, go for it. Doesn't come with drain assembly. Could use a better parts diagram.
