This is my second order for this birdbath warmer. My first one is still working just fine in one of my bird baths. It is reasonably priced and perfect size for my baths. As it has thermostat it turns off with warmer weather. Might order a third.

Excellent, long-lasting deicer!

I bought this many years ago and it still works great and has lasted much longer than other brands and types.

Good For Minnesota Weather

Works great. Ground fault tripped last night due to wet extension plug Lots of ice this morning. Sealed plug connection and ice is melted and works great Birds and Squirrels love it.

Did Not Work, Water Froze

For the first few days this de-icer was in my copper bird bath, I noticed silver debris in the bird bath. It was like silver sand in the bird bath--and the circle of the de-icer was pitted and no longer smooth. It appears the aluminum was breaking away and floating in my bird bath water--that can't be safe for the birds! Then on a cold day, the water slowly solidified. When snow started falling, a dusting of snow collected on top of the ice and only a small area directly above the aluminum circle did not collect the dusting of snow--but the water was still ice. This de-icer must have been putting out such a small amount of heat. This thing was worthless. Box says "Safe for All Bird Baths" but it did not appear safe or functional for mine!

I put my 150 Watt Birdbath Deicer to work immediately after getting it. The wattage is an increase over previously used deicers, resulting in greater effectiveness at keeping my birdbath free of ice. It's working like a charm! The birds love it.

Great Birdbath De-icer

Ive owned several of these over many years - perfect for my birdbath, lasts 6-7years thawing heavy ice like a champ. I refill more often when its bitter below-zero cold because some evaporates. Keeps water just above freezing.

Pricey but well made!

Bought two. Thought they were a little expensive but seem to be very well made. New user so just hoping they last years.

Lasts and lasts

I purchased my first C-50 back in 1996. I have worn out 2 since then. They each lasted over 12 years! I'm sure they would have lasted longer, but I had a bad habit of leaving them out all year round(not recommended). I would highly recommend this De-icer for your Bird bath. I live a 7000ft alt., and it gets super-cold at night during the winter months. This de-icer has no problem keeping the water at 35 degrees.

A HD Bird Bath heater equal to WI Winters

Lighter weight heaters cannot prevent water freezing once temps are below zero. This 150W heater's heavy-duty extremely well made and has no problem. Had one like it last 10 years before needing to be replaced. Really glad there're still made. *Vendor's extremally responsive also, a BIG plus.
