Im disappointed wish it was ceramic,I wished I had read the reviews a head of time not allowed in the microwave. But I do love them, they are light and very colorful. They are light, colorful, dishwasher safe, BUT NOT MICROWAVEABLE.

Beautiful, practical, and lightweight! I got rid of my stoneware because it was too heavy for my damaged shoulders to lift into and out of the cabinet. Cheerful design adds an extra benefit.

I love this set never expected the quality to be good but when I opened the box I thought they sent me china. They are very heavy melamine and they are dishwasher safe as I washed them all before I put them in the cabinet
