Poor drawer design

Three of the six drawers faceplates would not stay in place. Sliding the drawer sides (d28, d29) in the slots doesn't work very well. I had to file down the wood so it would fit into the slots better, hammer them into place and the faceplates still came off. I ended up gluing them into place.

Desk is nice but difficult to assemble

I've put together just about everything you could imagine. I'm also a handyman on the side. This desk took 5 1/2 hours of constant work to put together. Plus it was missing nonessential parts.

It is nice. Heavy piece

Difficult set up. Slide on moldings were warped and difficult to slide in place. Would have been nice for a warning that set up is very long and complicated. Once together it is very nice.

Quality for a reasonable price

It was fairly straight forward putting together. Only took me about 4 hours. It is being used for a home office. So far it is holding up and I really like it. It looks like real wood though it is actually MDF.

Very nice looking desk + great customer service

We are very happy with the look and functionality of this desk. We were also very happy with the ease and speed of getting two replacement parts to replace damaged parts. Desk went together quickly. A couple drawer slides were a little stubborn, but I got them working with a little adjusting. Would purchase both sauder products, and this desk again.

Great desk, lots of work to assemble

As other reviews state, it is a challenge to put together. Lots of pieces and parts. Once together, It is good quality and looks great! It came very well packaged and arrived a day early.

Great product!

Drawers slide really well! Assembly requires 2 people at some steps. This products hides all building hardware internally, which is nice for the final product, but creates some difficulty building it.

Room for everything

This executive desk offered plenty of storage for all of my office supplies. The lower drawers hold files but they also are a great place to keep instruction manuals, extra notebooks and stationery. This desk is very heavy and does require two people to move.

As Expected

The desk is pretty nice, and probably appropriate for the price point. Assembly took a while but wasn't difficult. I did have an issue with one side of drawers, but fixed it with some spare washers.

I would never purchase this product again

your desk was very difficult to assemble.... Drawer still does not open properly.

Great, sturdy desk!

Bought this for home office use. The instructions were very clear to follow along with (and provided a chuckle here and there!). I'm glad I spent a bit more money and got a quality piece of furniture that I hope lasts me a lifetime!

Too many pieces for how much was charged.

We are using this desk as part of our office away from home. It is installed in our vacation house so that we can work from there if necessary. As much as I paid for the desk, I would have expected at least partial assembly when I Deas arrived. There was not one single thing put together. It took several hours just so I have everything out and make sure that we werent missing anything. Once assembled it is very nice, it should not be that much money when you are basically just buying materials and a book with a diagram telling you how to put it together. Its very similar to putting together 1000 piece puzzle using tools.

Difficult assemble = time requirement.

Purchased the Executive Desk-Costa Collection. It arrived in two boxes and took an extensive amount of time to assembly. Counting all screws, dowels, cam fasteners and wood panels, there were 287 pieces. I spent close to 24 hours of time building this desk with its six drawers. I am happy with the fit and its appearance but there needs to be a much easier way to to assemble this product. I will not go through it again!
