It is very quick and easy to put together. Its a nice piece for a kids room.

I plan to use this product to reduce clutter on my home office desk which it does very well. My issues are with the fIt and finish. Assembly was a joke.(instructions say 10 minutes) It was necessary to use self tapping screws on the crossbrace as the factory holes didn't line up. Not even closeThe shelves were extremely scuffed up out of the box.

This bookshelf looks perfect on the wall we put it on. I love the industrial rustic look. I would take a picture but I have family photos on it.

Impossible to assemble

I purchased this unit because the shelves are solid wood and I was hoping it would last longer than the MDF furniture that seems to be the majority of items sold nowadays. Unfortunately it was impossible to put together. The cross bar in back was about an inch too short to reach across and connect the two sides. The cross bar is essential to the structure so without it, the rest is useless. I returned it. On a happy note, the customer service agent I spoke to was very helpful and having UPS pick it up from my house was a breeze. Still, really disappointing. Stay away from these shelves and go with another option.

Easy to assemble. One review said the crossbars were difficult. I did not find that an issue at all. The shelves are substantial and nicely crafted. The gray color wasn’t what I expected. It has a slight greenish tone to it, but for my use, it works fine.

nice, sturdy shelves. They look great in my room, and are tall, which I like about them. The shelves are a dark grey color which looks nice with the iron frame.

The shelf is sturdy, and a nice design, but beware, the wood is a red color. It is described as natural and it is not. I ended up sanding the shelves down to a more natural color

This is a beautiful piece, but it was slightly defective. I ordered 3 units, each one was slightly defective. The color said natural Birch, but they were all red Maple color. The metal portion had rust spots, and some of the wooden shelves has rough edges with splinters, uneven staining, or a crack in it. Still, I chose to keep them and will finish them off properly.

This is real wood, looks great. Easiest piece I've ever put together, only took about 15 minutes. Looks great in any room. Probably going to buy another one! Highly recommend this purchase.

Nice look; but hardware missing

I like the etagere, but it arrived without hardware and instructions. The instructions were easy to figure out; but I have been to the hardware store twice and still do not have the correct screws and other hardware.

good looking, easy to put together. Shelves have a slightly 'distressed' look, which worked perfectly for me.

Good and solid. It took some effort for my husband to put it together, and ultimately, two shelves ended up with only three screws as the remaining holes didn't match up. However, it is pretty sturdy and will more than suit my needs.

Damaged and broken

Since Overstock keeps sending me emails to leave a review, here goes., ,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I received this product damaged. Two out of 5 shelves were severely dented probably during transportation, because the package is not wrapped and assembled properly. Seems like this has happened to other buyers too so I don't understand why they haven't fixed it. Still waiting to hear back from them if they will be able to replace the damaged shelves, because they are unusable. , ,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, The other thing which I also noticed happened to other buyers of this product is that the holes on the steel frame don't match so I will have to drill new ones, because if you're not fixing this properly the whole shelf is very wobbly. Hopefully I'll be able to do it., ,,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I am extremely disappointed with this product and Overstock. Still haven't decided if I want to return the item and request a refund.

Smells like a Christmas Tree

The product itself is great: easy to assemble, sturdy, everything fit together nicely, and it looks like we spent a lot more than we did. An unexpected bonus: the pine shelves smell wonderful. The only thing is that when it arrived, the box was badly damaged and four out of five shelves were dented or deeply gouged in a couple cases. Before we made the decision to purchase it, we did see that this had happened to several other reviewers so we were sort of prepared for it, though still not happy about it. The packaging was terrible in general: it was packed in styrofoam that, since it was crushed, got crumbly and exploded everywhere when we opened the box.

Not difficult to assemble but the screw holes did not match up and I ended up having to drill them to make this work., ,,,,,,, Wasn't too impressed but you do get what you pay for I guess.
