Do Better!
These curtains measure a nice 31” no where near the 52” as I ordered & the smell is horrible! The color is fantastic but seriously! Who is measuring the curtains? How do you sell something so badly off?
Neutral color
I hung then up yesterday, but they really needed ironing. I bought the linen color because I had gold drapes from the 80’s. They are neutral enough to go with anything. I have a very wide window and needed two panels on each side. They won’t stay together when I close them. Other than sewing them together which I can’t do, I don’t know what to do.
Good Value
I ordered a number of panel sets in vanilla for two large windows. The listing photo appears white, but it's really more of an off-white/cream color. I don't mind this, as I didn't want a stark white. The color is warmer in person and needs to be ironed out of the package. The wrinkles are easy to get out. They look great when hung up, but I will say these are not blackout curtains. They are light filtering/slightly room darkening. It serves the purpose I needed them for, but definitely not blackout. The backing is the same color and material as the panel itself, which I liked - so if you're outside looking at the window, you don't see a black or plastic lining material. For the price, they feel and look like they'd cost more.
BEWARE Incorrect Length
First order, I purchased these curtains and was shipped a black curtain rod straight from the manufacturer. Luckily, Target's customer service processed a replacement without hassel. I have bought several other styles in the 84in length from Target and never had any issues with sizing. However, when purchasing these dark gray panels in size 52x84in by 'Exclusive Home' and they are most definitely not 84 inches long. They measure at ~80 inches. An inch is an inch, there is no excuse for the incorrect label sizing. Now I have to go through the hassel of wasting gas and time by taking a trup to the store and returning these.
Great curtains; they are 30" across the top
Exclusive home is my go-to for curtains. High-end look for much, much less than designer stores. I’ve bought from this brand three or four times before, but this time, I was disappointed to realize that these particular curtains are 30” in width at the top and the bottom is the 52” measurement. It makes sense that the bottom would be more full what with the pinch pleats, and it’s listed in the product photos at the end, but it’s kind of buried and I think the overall description is a bit misleading. That said, buy some extra panels and you’ll be more than satisfied; they’re fabulous curtains.
Curtains are room darkening
This product is indeed room darkening. The material is thick and heavy to block out unwanted light entering your room. But the material is totally polyester, which is easy to run. But although the product is called "Pinch Pleat" it is in name only. I wanted curtains that were truly pinch pleats. These curtains are faux pinch pleats. They are made for rods. So in order to use these curtains I will need to purchase a new curtain rod to replace my curtain rod that uses true pinch pleated curtains.
DON'T TRUST THE SIZING!
These curtains get 2 stars because they seem like nice quality. HOWEVER, the listing clearly says you'll receive a PAIR (2) curtains measures 52"x 96". This is an absolute lie. What you will receive is TWO curtains that TOTAL 52". I needed two panels approximately 52-54" so I thought these would be perfect. Not even close! what a massive let down. They need to correct the information for these curtains.
This teal color isnt teal its a light blue
This teal color isn't teal at all. It's a light blue!! I expected teal that matches my living room set but yea. Very disappointed. Also the size wasn't 52 × 84 like I ordered either is was 24×84 so I had to use all 4 panels for my entire sliding glasses door. I had planned to decorate the sliding glasses door and my other set of windows. With 2 panels to cover each area. But the sizes was wrong so i had to use all 4 to cover my sliding glass window. I love this site but I'm definitely disappointed with my the purchases I made this time.
Just what I wanted
Vanilla color is perfect. Was worried that sateen finish would be too shiny, but it's fine. Blocks enough light; definitely not see-thru. However, if you want pitch black darkness; this is not for you. Pin-tuck pleats with the back tabs is confusing; is this for use on a rod or are the pin hooks supposed to attach to the tabs? Biggest issue for me is that the panel is too narrow at 30in width. Had to buy 3 packages of 2 panels each to cover picture window. I'll need to stitch three panels together for each side.
Hit or miss
Pros: - Washable (hang dry though) - Nice material - Back tab - Looks elegant Cons: - Not blackout - Quality is inconsistent. Make sure to buy multiple curtains at a time because there’s a 50% chance you may get a lemon. This way, you keep the good quality and return the lemon. - If you get a lemon, the stitchings are coming off, the color has a slight orange tint, the material is thinner, and some have stains and dirt that can’t come off easily with washing. Conclusion: Due to the inconsistency in quality, I took out a star.
Not the size advertised *but happy
The curtain width itself is 52", if that's what you're ordering. However the rod pocket area is only 30". This will not fit my window at all.. I will have to return these. Sad. ***updated review: Well I learned quick that when you order pinched pleat curtains the above is what you should expect. Pinching the pleats takes away from the original width. I had ordered two pair, for two windows. Well, I ended up not sending them back after all. I put all four panels on my one large window and they look fantastic. I had to order different curtains for my other window and that's just going to have to be fine. This is the way it is when you get pinch pleats, they're not the same width at the top as Tab top curtains. So, anyway, these curtains are a silky material and they hang nicely. The dark brown color is beautiful and rich. They keep the draft out and they definitely are room darkening and help with outside sounds as well. These pinch pleat curtains are well worth a purchase if you put 4 panels together to cover an 86" window.
Pretty and Functional
I needed some blackout curtains for my office which faces east. I had blinds but it they were not enough to block out the sun and the heat. I ordered these pleated curtains to go on a pull- rod that came with the house when I bought it. The curtains didn't come with the ability to use those curtain hangers but I did find something that I could puncture through the fabric to hang the curtains. My office is cooler and the sun's glare is no longer an issue. I liked them so much that I bought a second set for the dining room which also faces east.
top width is much smaller than the bottom.
The curtains came today and on first look I thought the quality was quite nice. Not to thick, and the color was great. However I realized the top is almost half the width of the bottom so instead of 52 inches it is I believe 36 at the top. They have tabs on the back to hang on a regular rod but I got them to put on my traverse rod. They can still have hooks put in them to use on the rod so that part is not a concern. The threading was unraveling upon arrival which was a bit disappointing. I am going to attempt to hang these in a room with a smaller window. I dont know that I would reccomend these since I have not put them up yet but I do feel the description is misleading since it emphasizes that 104 width.
5 Stars
These curtains are very nice. I like the pinch pleat at the top and they are super easy to hang. No liner, the fabric is heavy enough it really doesn't need one. My are hung over vertical blinds to soften the look of those and help with sun control in the evening. I bought panels longer than I needed so the curtain rod and curtain extend 13" above the top of the window, elevating the look of the window. The only drawback- even after spritzing with water after hanging, the wrinkles haven't fallen out, which means I'll have to get out the iron! Not a big deal though. I'd buy them again!
These are not true pinch pleated drapes!
I was so disappointed in these drapes and if I hadnt needed them so badly I would have sent them back. For starters they are not a true pinch pleat for a traverse rod! I have spent months looking for pinch pleated drapes and cant find them. And since I spent so much money on traverse rods I am not about to change rods. Also these are not 52"inches wide, are short probably about 3"! The material is beautiful, but the sewing lacks quality. So in order not to have to send them back, I spent 2 hours hand sewing in the hooks for the traverse rods! Definately will not order drapes from here again! I have loved everything I have ordered before so this was a big disappointment and they are off white, not white white~
5 Stars
The curtains where very nice quality. The Pinch Pleat Top was NOT a true pinch pleat. I have traverse rods and they need a pinch pleat curtain. It very difficult to put the pinch pleat hanger in the material so I could hang them but I did manage. I like being able to pull a string and my windows are opened which this allows be to still do. I have one window that is behind a table and makes it difficult to be able to step in and pull them back, hence, the reason for the traverse rod. It might have a pinch pleat "LOOK" but it is NOT a pinch pleat curtain. It should have stated clearly that it was not a true pinch pleat curtain.
Disgusted and disappointed
I got these thinking oh good finally pinch pleat ones for traverse rods. They are not wide enough at all. The color seen is not what you get. They are washed out like jeans get. And they have these belt loop things. You have to use pin style hooks for my traverse rod. Thank God I did have some of those in my storage. Oh and also no liner at all. This is the second time I tried somewhere to get pinch pleat drapes with liner for traverse rods and be totally disappointed in them. To cover my picture window, I would need a second set. I can't afford to buy anymore. The first company would take theirs back but charge a fee so I would only get $9. I thought I had a winner here but instead got another loser. Now I am out $85 and don't have my window covered correctly. I included my picture of the ones I got and hung up next to the online picture of what was represented. What a shame companies choose these times to misrepresent their products.
Curtains that get the job done
These panels came in pairs and were long length- 96 inches, which is what I needed. I had been pricing curtains for my new home and everything I liked was over $100 a panel! I decided to take a chance on these, and I am pleased. They are room darkening and ok quality fabric- they get the job done in my bedroom. I hung them so they are even with the floor- however, the curtains are not hemmed evenly. This is probably why they were available here so inexpensively. Overall, I am happy with them. I was able to achieve the look I wanted and stay well within my budget while upgrading curtain rods.
2 Stars
I got the ivory color and am not happy with them. There is almost no blocking of light which is what I purchased these for. Also what is driving me crazy is that when hung, the middle part of the curtain touches the floor but the outside edges are about an inch off the floor. The curtain is not the same length/height throughout. I would've returned the items but by the time I got around to opening and hanging them, the 30 day return window was over, and decided to just keep them. I gave it 2 stars because I actually like the fabric and color a lot. But it definitely needs a lining or something to keep light from showing through. Not what I was expecting.
Proceed With Caution
Ok, I feel qualified to give a thorough and accurate review of these curtains after purchasing ELEVEN PAIRS of these to get it right.
