The pot itself is excellent but the lid is not

I really love this dutch oven. It heats up evenly and I would give this product 5 stars if the lid does not rust that easily. Somehow the edge area of the lid was not fully covered by enamel and it would rust easily. I had to exchange 2 times in order to get one that does not rust. The first one was rusted the next day after my first wash. The second one was rusted the next day after I cook with it. So far, the third one is not rusted yet -- I had used that twice. The quality of lid should be improved. In general, this one is a good product, but the lid is not. The manufacture probably should consider to offer free enamel pen for the customer to perform patch themselves so that it could prevent so many of exchanges.

Excellent Acquisition!!

I bought mine, about two weeks ago and I decided to make beef stew (Caldo de res) on it. I was impressed by how fast it cooked it. The soup was so tasty and my kids even asked me if I had changed the recipe!! I love it!! So I’m getting a bigger size for Thanksgiving!!

This Dutch oven is one I will use often. Great quality and great price. I wish Sams carried a 7 or 8 quart as well.

I bought this pot for my husband for Christmas and he loves cooking with it. He's already made a great batch of chili and some bean soup. The pot looks good and cleans up really nice.

love the design and fits for all kinds of cooking

My family member bought this pot from Viking. When I first saw it and I thought "what this pot will be difference than other pots we already have?" I read the instruction and it6 claims that suits for cooking on the stove, soup, put in the oven, all kinds of thing, so I tried it on the stove first by making my favourite stir fried with mixed veggies and tofu. turned out my veggies look colourful, stayed in shape but cooked nicely and the flavour of my food got difference this time, it tasted better and i asked my family to come try the food I made and they all liked the food.

Heavy duty, well built... It will last for a long time(hopefully)...
