Great for travel and home - 4 year old loves it
Our 4 year old absolutely loves it! I got it to take when we travel because he usually ends up not sleeping well, sleeping on me, etc. So far the tent is a perfect for us! It's fun for him, sturdy, and helps him sleep in new spaces when we travel. Set up is easy, and (after watching the video), I (mom) can pack the tent back in its case by myself. I also love getting in the tent to read our son stories at night! Huge success.
Exactly as promised!
We purchased this bed tent for our top bunk. We have a little guy (4.5 yr
More venting please
Like the tent. It’s sturdy and roomy. Mesh and zippers seem to be of good quality and expect will hold up to years of use. The downside is that the mesh vents are smallish and only on two sides so they don’t seem to provide enough ventilation when it’s hot. Would have liked mesh vents on the left/right sides as well. And maybe zippers on all sections for easier in and out.
Amazing for Autistic Kiddos
I do not write reviews. This tent is amazing. My 13 year old autistic daughter has been a terrible sleeper since she was born. She would fall asleep in closets, push her bed away from the wall to fit in the tight space, room had to be completely dark, fan on for white noise, weighted blankets, etc which still did not always work. On any given night she would be up at 11:30pm/1:30am/3:30am for the rest of the night/day. We have tried various sleep meds. We have had this tent for two weeks and she has never slept better. She’s sleeping 8+ hours per night, putting herself to bed, less vocal and physical stims. Cannot recommend this tent enough.
Great solution for my sleep issues
Picked this tent up to give it a go since i work nights and sleep during the day. I need a very dark space to sleep well because i am rather sensitive to light, even a standard nightlight is too much for me when im trying to sleep. I tried blackout curtains but too much light got in around them. I thought this tent was rather silly at first but its fantastic. Even in the middle of the day with the tent and my curtains drawn its near pitch black inside the tent. On top of a noticeable increase in sleep quality i also find i absolutely love the feeling of my bed being its own isolated space. There is, for me, a sense of security having an enclosed space around me that i didn't expect. Its very roomy and with the multiple doors you can choose how open you want it to be or how closed off. All in all i absolutely love it and as an added bonus my pets do too. The cats have begun a coordinated effort to steal it from me and my dog is also trying to lay claim to it. Apparently we are all in agreement the "silly" tent is fantastic.
Lifesaver. Best investment I've made.
We bought this canopy set for my special needs 4 year old. He has a super rare chromosomal anomaly labeled 1P36 Deletion Syndrome which caused a whole host of health and developmental problems. One of the hardest things to deal with was the lack of sleep.
Very cool
I love this thing. Bought it for my gigs as a seasonal employee at National Parks and ski resorts. Great for if you have a roommate so you dont feel like they are looking at you all the time. In general though, I find it amazing for giving my senses a break after long days. The company should market it to neurodivergent people with sensory issues, because it really helps with that. Blocks most light, slightly dampers sound, and gives privacy in shared spaces. Combined with ear plugs you can really turn the world off. Hoping it lasts a really long time for the price, but it was worth every dollar to me.
Blocks Light
?Our apartment has an awkward floorplan. And my schedule doesn't match anyone else in the family.
Perfect for traveling with kids who have sensory issues
I bought this for my autistic 4 year old to help him sleep while we were in a hotel on vacation, because he doesn't do well with room sharing and can't sleep well when there's a lot of noise or other stimuli around him. It's exactly what I hoped for: it's dark, quiet, comfortable, and super easy to install onto a hotel mattress. I honestly also think it's also going to come in handy with transitioning him from a toddler bed to a big bed full time because it's so comfortable. Plus, it makes the bed seem bigger than it really is, which is pretty great in general. I definitely recommend it for anyone who has sensory issues or trouble falling asleep, and I'm probably going to get another one for myself in the near future. Absolutely amazing product.
Great customer service
I purchased this tent for my son almost 3 years ago for his bed. Recently one of the support poles broke and I needed a replacement. I contacted the company and within days I had a NEW replacement tent! This blew my mind to have a company, during such uncertain times no less, just replaced the entire item rather than send me one single replacement part. The tent in and of itself is of great quality and my son is now 6.5 years old; it's held up to a lot, I assure you. I HIGHLY recommend this product and this company. You can purchase with confidence they take care of their customers!
So Happy!
I am so glad I got this tent. I was very hesitant at first because I had never heard of a bed tent prior to finding out about these, but I am so happy with my purchase. I occasionally struggle with sleeping and I've had less issues falling asleep and sleeping through the night since purchasing. Assembly was very easy. I was able to do it by myself with my full size bed. Having another person assist you is helpful but not necessary. The tent itself is high quality, and I haven't had any issues with how sheer it is for the dark gray color. It is mostly opaque. Great tent overall for anyone who may be thinking about it, it's extremely cozy and has been a great addition to my room!
My kid loves this tent
We bought the blue, twin, bed tent for for Christmas for our middle school kid. The instructions were not needed, but I'm glad they are a part of the tent bag, so they cannot be lost. The poles also came in a reusable bag that stores in the tent bag. The only problem with this tent is putting it together. It took three of us to insert the last rod. Once assembled it holds together beautifully. My kid loves it and sleeps in it every night. The side pocket and loops to hang lights on are great additions. We bought a set of small battery powered tent lights and they work well with it. It does say it is machine washable, but after finally getting it together I can't see us ever wanting to take it down and put up with the stubborn tent rods again. It is a material you can easily spot clean with a damp cloth. It is not "kiddish" so it should last through the teen years. It fits a twin better perfectly. The side zippers seem to be very durable and never get stuck. I would highly recommend this, especially for the price as it is very durable and looks nice.
Best bed tent I've found
I would absolutely recommend this tent for any bed but, definitely for anyone buying for a loft or bunk bed. I've bought a few bed tents now, and they were fine for what they were. As you can see in the photo, my daughter has a loft bed with the ladder on the end. This is the only tent that accommodates that. It has 4 places to open this tent. I love the fact the the tent actually goes around/ under the mattress. Feels much more secure than others. This tent was also, by far, the easiest to set up or if the few I've tried. Even having to lift and slide the mattress in, still easier than others. The feel of the tent is great. It's so soft and buttery yet sturdy. There's amazing head space sitting inside. I can't say enough about this tent. It has a pocket inside to store her remote for her TV, which she can see since the sides open so wide. I'm tempted to buy a huge one for me.
Excellent!!
Bought this tents bed for my autistic son who recently had to have a feeding tube put in he absolutely loves the comfort of being surrounded by the soft material of this tent. This allows me to sleep next to him on a bed in his room so I can hear if he moves around and he's not able to get up and walk away from his feeding pump while he is eating at night that was our problem keeping him confined so he didn't accidentally pull out his tube. He is also developmentally only one and a half years old, even though he is going to be thirteen in a few months, I can also say it would be a great transitional way to transition a toddler into a big kid bed as they would feel safe and happy and just all-around comfortable. I myself am a big girl and I was able to get in the tent with the mattress in there set and put my arms above my head and not even touch the top of the roof of the tent so there is lots of room for kiddos to move around and also teenagers that my need a way to have their own space. all I can say We are happy happy happy until hopefully one day we get his medically necessary bed. I hope this helps you with making your decision for the money it's well worth trying it!
Sturdy, easy to assemble, wonderful quality! Notes about assembly in review.
First thing: if you find it difficult to fit the shocked tent poles into their sheathes, due to them being a little too long, just wedge them against the frame as tightly as you can, and let them stay there overnight for one or two nights. The shocked pole segments have a friction fit which will become more secure and snug after they've been under tension and pressure for awhile, and on your next try it should be easier to get them all the way into the sheathes where they belong.
Windows on the outside?
So don't get me wrong. My daughter loves this completely, I'm giving it four stars, but why can you only open the mesh windows from the outside?!? The doors you can open from the outside or inside but the mesh windows that they added for air flow can only be opened from outside the tent. So if you are inside get up, get out, open window, get back in. Why! Also they say it's for dorm room privacy but when anyone can open your windows and peak in. That's weird!
LIFE CHANGING- incredible!!!
A bed tent. Come on, right? It seems like such a gimmick. Nope! This thing has been a huge game changer for me. As a person who shares a room with 2 other brothers, with different fan, light, and room preferences it was all out war before. Now, it doesn’t matter what they do “out there” because I’m in my tent and it’s amazing. It breathes well, it doesn’t bother my claustrophobia, it’s honestly sound muffling and very good at filtering light, the zippers don’t catch, it’s easy to assemble, and it’s aesthetically pleasing. The fabric is durable, doesn’t feel remotely cheap, and is very soft to the touch. It has a very handy hook to hang a light inside too. So many weird things I didn’t know I needed with this bad boy. The mosquitoes stay out, it feels like I’m surrounded by just pure darkness, I sleep better. I have privacy, comfort, and ease of access. This is my all time favorite purchase ever, and I can guarantee you won’t regret it. As someone who suffers from insomnia, sleep apnea, anxiety, depression- all the things, I swear this helps so much, and this is the first review I’ve ever felt the need to write. Thank you Alvantor, and yes, we will be purchasing more for my brothers now too.
It is difficult to put the poles in but for a good reason
I had trouble getting the poles in, it is good because the fabric will streach eventually and so it stays sturdy.Everyone should have one, unless you ahve severe claustrophobia. It is like a sanctuary of privacy, a return to the womb. The fabric, the light dimming, the perfect size and so comfortable. I wish I had one for my whole life. I could never sleep without one again. If you lived in London, Hong kong or Sydney, this tent would be at least 1000 $ per month rent, and would be auctioned to the highest bidder. Image that for the price of this tent---it's a Bargain. I am going to order the LED lights to hang inside on the loop. It has a side pocket too. Just be sure to place your bed in a lucky facing direction according to the flying stars.
Kids approved!
I researched a lot of brands before purchasing this one, and I am beyond satisfied. I installed it easily and quickly by myself. The fabric/material of the tent is quite soft, and the structure itself seems sturdy. I love the mesh on the top and bottom parts that allow for light and airflow. The inside pockets and light/lamp hook are nice little touches as well. My kids didn’t want to take it down at all, they were having so much fine hiding inside (which gives me a lot more quiet alone time so that’s a great side effect!) For reference, it fits an Ikea Slakt Twin Bed. I only wish there were more colors available like maybe a lighter grey. This is definitely worth it to get!
nice product
This is a nice product. It arrived a day early. At first I tried to put in the poles in the middle and the poles seemed to large. I noticed a bunch of people commenting on this on the amazon web site. some people were actually cutting the poles down to size. I then looked at the product page and found a small zipper on the end that you are to put the poles in, then zip them up. This made them fit correctly. Evidently there is a video for this, which I did not see before fixing this. I felt like answering all the people on amazon that made this complaint, but I do not have time in the day to do this. One note, this is on a bunk bed that has a ladder on the far left. The door has a bit of a curve, so hopefully over time this does not wear out as people climb into the bunk bed and have to crush this down to get in. I would recommend this product and would buy again. I found that it was hot in there, so I bought a wall mounted fan and have it blow through the opening from about 6 feet away, and this keeps it cool. My child loved this and said it was like sleeping in a hotel.
