Well-designed cabinet

It was a review of another Hon file cabinet that steered me to this one due to the type of drawer pull. The reviewer (I believe she was an older woman) mentioned that a handle attached in the center of the drawer front nessessitated bending father down to operate it. This problem was solved by the rolled edge drawers of this purchased model. Also helpful is the location of the lock above the upper rather than lower drawer.

High quality file cabinet!

HON products are of high quality. The item was delivered with no dents or issues. The drawers are sturdy and open and close smoothly. It's easy to lock and unlock the drawers and the cabinet comes with two keys. I'd definitely buy more HON products in the future.

Not 28" tall . . . not true to height advertised.

I needed my cabinet to be 28" tall because I'm making a desk that sits on two filing cabinets, and I'd like them both to be the same height. This one was way off . . . by half an inch! It is well made, however.

Gave 3 stars because filing cabinet came with indentation on one side. Thought about returning. Will keep the cabinet against the wall to hide the bad side.

damaged drawers

Received today. The cabinet is dented on the left side and the bottom drawer has dents on both sides. I've attached pictures. The dents do not render the product unusable, just unsightly.

I needed a file cabinet that would fit under my drafting table and this was the perfect fit. Hon is a great brand of file cabinet - you can't go wrong with Hon. I previously had a cheap file cabinet that had drawers that were so difficult to open and close - it was so frustrating that I just had to get a replacement. I'm very happy with my new file cabinet.

It was overall, very well constructed as a whole, glides work very smoothly for the drawers. I like the size difference in the drawers and the bottom drawer works perfect for hanging folders. Has roller wheels on the bottom and it works great on carpets as well. The only thing I would of liked to have seen which would of have been an improvement on the overall construction, and that would be the locking mechanism on the cabinet and the associates keys key that operates it. They appear to be an after thought and are cheaply constructed. They do not compliment the overall cabinet constructability.

HON Mobile File

I was looking for a mobile file that had good build quality, and that would fit in a specific space in my home office.These HON 18823RS cabinets fit just right, are built well, and are exactly what I was looking for.Shoplet's pricing was very competitive, and they delivered them promptly. Well done!

MUCH better than anything else I've found or used

This cabinet does cost more than lots of the other 2-drawer ones, but it's amazing how much better it is than anything we saw in the store. The "little" details - slightly rounded corners, non-chipping finish, full-extension ball bearing drawer rollers, the overall thickness of the metal - make all the difference between awesome and junk, and this is awesome. Additionally, the hidden casters underneath make it very easy to wheel this around when you mean to, but I haven't had any issue with it rolling when I opened the drawers, because the drawers open and close so smoothly. Definitely the best 2-drawer filing cabinet I've ever seen or used. The one con is that the locking mechanism doesn't feel super sturdy compared to some I've used at work on bigger cabinets, but the keys are a step up from those cheapo ones on most 2-drawer cabinets.
