This is my second box that I’ve had. I’ve used this and for a very inexpensive cost to reform and change your counters. This is a great way, but if you have a lot of activity, use your counters a lot the wear and tear could be possible over the years I do patch it up and it seems to work fine.
Short Lived
Just say NO. Most of the reviews you'll find online talk about the application and/or look of the countertops after painting, but few transparently discuss what happens later.
This won’t last long
At first this product seemed great counter tops looked good and durable. Two years ago I put this on the countertops of a rental property and now a simple fingernail scratch will remove this. Going to have to sand it all down and use epoxy or something stronger
Giani White Diamond Countertop Kit, this has to be the worst product you have put out. Shame on yourselves for naming this "white diamond". If the truth is told, it should be named "blueish diamond". I am so disappointed with my countertops. They are blue!!!! I called their customer service but no one picked up. I used both cans of the white paint that came with the kit, it still turned out blueish. I feel, that they had a bad mix of white paint and still added those cans into the package and sold it under the "name white diamond" countertop kit. I have to look that those awful countertops every day now, it sickens me that I spent my hard earn money to get crap. Now, I must make another expense to cover the blueish countertop paint you are selling. Shame on you Giani, and shame on you Home Depot for selling that kit. I also know I am not the only one who has experienced the same blueish crap. I had to dig but found reviews with the same issue. Please don't buy this product, well at least this color, don't do it. I would ask for my money back, but I use the product thinking my countertops would be white. I ask Giani, make it right! If certain colors or too much of one color created that blueish color, then add that in your instructions. I just can't believe that it came out blue. Disappointed is not even the word I want to use.
Overall I love this product. The black base was easy and smooth and the blends of colors for sponging were tedious but easy also. The topcoat was a bit more challenging and not as smooth a final finish as I’d hoped. I am glad I used this product for my project and overall very happy with the project’s new look!
It’s not as solid white as I hoped. The gray gives it a blue tinge. But it was easy to do, instructions were simple. It’s only been 2 weeks so I can’t speak to durability. I love the clear sparkle top coat.
Used this product over existing laminate countertops and a concrete counter island. It turned out absolutely beautiful. I put 3 coats of topcoat on it to be safe. Also followed directions to a tee.
This product was easy to use. Easy and simple steps to follow. The processing time was short between each coat. I wasn't fond of the sandstone color with the Slate option. All in all it's a great product when you're on a budget to remodel and need a little bit of a change.
Paint worked well. After first coat of sealer dried, rolling on the second coat was very difficult. The roller kept sliding. Second roller should be of a different material so it doesn’t slide….
This not only met our expectations, it definitely exceeded them! Its so easy to do and no one believes its not a brand new counter top! It looks nice, feels nice and I believe it will last for a really long time. However, if we want to change it, we can! Since it wasn't as big an investment as a whole counter top. LOVE IT!
I love love love this product. It is very durable, appealing and fun to work with. I can’t say enough good things about this product. The only thing I would like to see is a selection of more colors. Maybe something with a little red tint to it. This is an amazing product. I would recommend it strongly.
Didn't last more than a year
At first I really loved the way this looked. It transformed my kitchen. However at about the year mark it started to scuff up and and peel away for no reason at all. It's to the point of my other counter top showing through now. I'm so disappointed. I know it was only 200 for 2 kits but that's still alot of money and it went to waste.
Great product - was uncertain before trying....
I could not be more pleased with my new resurfaced bathroom counter top. I was doubtful before trying but after using this product, I would no doubt recommend anyone looking to change color or resurface a counter top to give this a try. Follow the directions and you'll be pleased. Do not rush. No real odor to be concerned with...I did lightly sand my formica before resurfacing. Beyond that, instructions will guide you.
Poor product
Terrible product. Except for the base paint the rest of the product failed. Sponging on the glitter coat is tedious and doesn’t come out anything like expected. The sealant is not a sealant but rather a coat of epoxy is needed to truly seal and protect it from staining. We ended up just putting another coat of black on it and that’s how it ended up.

I purchased it because the package picture matched the quartz had in the shower area. Once done the product didn't look at ALL like the picture. Hoping I can return it as the counter top looks worse than before we used the product. It is a guest bathroom and used a lot when entertaining will be embarrassed until we come up with a different solution! UGH!!!

This was a fun project and it turned out pretty good. The counter top was wood and I think if there would have been some kind of seal put on it before applying the kit it would have worked better. It was sanded and filled with putty before applying the kit. The lines of the boards show through and it is darker than pictured. I still like it though.
Review after a year (almost)
I purchased this kit 11 months ago and these are my honest opinions. Although time consuming, the application was easy enough. I would suggest purchasing a small foam brush and trimming it down before applying to hard to reach areas (behind the sink or the top of the backsplash). The finished product has held up well with heavy use but has lost a bit of the shine. I have 3 minuscule chips in the paint but it doesn’t take away from the appearance or function. The countertops are easy to clean and have withstood aggressive scrubbing that any parent with a messy kid can appreciate. If you’re looking for a change and either don’t want to replace the countertops or simply can’t afford to - this is a great option.

Pretty easy to use and straight forward. Was a little disappointed that I waited 7 days before putting things back on top and my bath & body works body spray stained the counter and it won’t come off. Would be careful of what you put on it so it doesn’t ruin because you can’t scrub hard to get anything off.
Super easy
Super easy. I took my time and completed over 3 days. I was going for mostly white with some grey. Though the grey was nice too. I used a heavy hand with the sponge, squishing it down hard to the countertop. Colors dried fast, except black has to have 8 hours. I used a faster drying epoxy that I have experience using, instead of the topcoat they provide. I’d definitely recommend choosing their epoxy, instead of provided topcoat, for a great finish.
Doesn't last
I was happy with the result at first (actually used the leftovers to refinish tables that needed sprucing up). But after only a couple of months, the finish started to get scratches and wear off on kitchen countertops. At first, from a distance it still looked OK but as time went on, the wear became more and more noticible. I covered a light color with a dark kit, so going with a similar color might not be as noticable. It might be OK in a lightly used kitchen, but I cannot recommend it.
