This stand is working for me. Extra toner and paper is easily stored. My only complaint is that the top is rated for 50lbs. My HP Laser printer is 50 lbs. The drawer helps support the top, however, it means having to lift up the printer slightly to close the drawer. Check the weight of your printer.
The veneer is so thin that it is guaranteed to chip. Already have multiple chips - can't you figure out how to ship this stuff without it damaging!!!??? Or make a better product. Overall, the effort to put it together is not worth the final product.
Great value. Not a stunner but it looks good at its price point and gets the job done. Very satisfied with this purchase.
A very sturdy and attractive printer stand. Cabinet is big enough to hold the printer when you want it out of sight. (No holes for cords in the back panel, though.)
Expensive and damaged on the inside of the box
The package arrived undamaged, but the product inside was slightly damaged right on the very front where it would be extremely noticeable. For the price paid for this item, and I was very disappointed that it arrived damaged. I didn’t notice of damage until you have the item already put together so by then what are you going to do take it all apart and try and return it not after spending two hours putting it together.
The good: it is very sturdy and looks good from the front, at a distance.
Don't believe some of the other reviews
So I read about metal handles and cherry finishes. Nonsense! Particle board with a white laminate and plastic handles. Those who say this is easy to assemble have not assembled it! The instructions are not the worst, but they leave out critical details and you find yourself guessing about the pictures. This is like the 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle with a fuzzy picture, and you cannot assemble it by yourself. If you have big hands... forget it! I'm done with flat-packed furniture that takes four hours to assemble.
Decent but now overpriced printer stand.
Perhaps slightly overpriced now. Suggest wait for sale. I purchased three so far. the first two were about $90. One as a turntable stand, one as a printer stand, and the last as a gift for some one else. I assembled all three. Took about 30 - 40 min each. The instructions could be improved, especially with the major error at the end, with the reversed part ID. If parts are missing or damaged, call the seller in the booklet first. Their customer support is top tier. Not for sitting on or heavy duty use. Did have an issue with the pre-drilled holes on the third one assembled. Otherwise, highly recommend.
Not Easy ~ But I Did It Solo and as a First-Timer!
Im a 63 year old single woman who has never assembled furniture before. Take heed when they say that this is a 2 person assembly job that requires experience! The item, as described, is shipped in a 5 ft 6 inch box, TOTALLY unassembled. The manual has NO words, only illustrations that are not easy to follow. That said, being a first timer, it took me 2 1/2 days to complete. On the positive side, South Shores agents are excellent. And when I contacted them for 2 chats, they were able to identify my problems. All in all, it is a beautitul piece and Im pretty darn proud of myself and the finished product. Take a look at my picture. I couldn't be happier. Even though I had to use several swear words and had a couple of glasses of wine when I was done. :) The cart gets 5 star. The manual gets 2 stars!
1 Star
I am struggling right now as to which word I should use for this review. Its a toss up between Junk and Crap. This is absolutely unacceptable quality. I received the table ( and started to assemble it only to find as I started that pieces were damaged (Or just junk to begin with). The pressed board was chipped on the corners, the "Laminate (Read: thin printed paper wood look" was puffed up as if it had been wet and the edges looked like torn paper. I realize this is an inexpensive piece but this is totally unacceptable. I don't think it is even worth my time to send it back for replacement. The wood where the door hinges go was shattered so the hardware would not stay in place to mount the doors. The box was not damaged so it was made this way. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Save your money. This thing went right to the dumpster. The pics are after I used the included crayon to touch up the damage. Yes, the know it will be damaged when you get it so the include a cover up crayon. Save your money.
sturdy but can't use the drawer
I recently purchased this product and I am happy with the value! Builder beware! Have an experience person to assemble as all the pieces that are marked with alphabetical letters in the instructions are not labelled on the individual pieces.
Cheap and costly. Not worth it.
Very cheaply made: A corner of the back panel missing upon unpacking; the cherry color is a very thin piece of paper over the pressed board, as a result, after assembling, the edges are flaky whitish color. Cabinet doors do not align; drawer bottom flimsy. The assembling instruction is skimpy, it took several hours to put it together and I am a very handy person and a mechanical engineer. After assembling, I had to spent more time to color the flaky edges with a color marker! (The package includes a marker). So for the time I and my husband put in, this is an extremely costly junk furniture.
Missing Hardware & Damaged Corners
Purchased Item online thru Office Depot Website. Arrived 4 days later via UPS. Assembly instructions are actually pretty good. After taking about 2 hours to assemble the main cabinet the only thing left to assemble was the top drawer. I discovered that there was only 3 anchors included with the shipment and 4 are required for complete assembly. I was unable to locate an additional anchor at the local hardware stores so since I already had 2 hours invested in assembly, I did not want to go thru customer service for a return so I used a drill and a wood anchor to work around the missing hardware. It works ok. Also the unit came with a wrong colored panel which fortunately goes on the back and was made with a white oak finish instead of black. Its hidden since its pushed against the wall but again its an indication of poor Quality Control. Also a couple of the corners had small veneer chips probably from the S&H. I am disappointed that I did not receive the necessary assembly hardware to do the assembly correctly.
Nice Printer Cabinet
No parts were missing from the package and there was no damage to the wood surface. Don't know why "2 people" required to assemble - I did it myself. All the parts went together well - no need to force screws or drill new holes.
