Reviews

We installed two of these bidets only to find that they are poorly designed and not user friendly. The press button is very clumsy. The water pressure is too forceful and it takes a lot of maneuvering to adjust. We all gave up on using them. Not worth the money. Looking for a better option.

High quality bidet sprayer.

Quality bidet, I have been looking for a bidet sprayer for a while on other online retailers, but was not able to find a good one. I already have a hot water line roughed-in to the washroom, so just needed a valve and a bidet sprayer with a flex tubing. All the bidet sprayers online didn't match the Canadian piping measures code, so they won't fit a 1/2 inch male. The Brodell CS Clean Spa is matching the code and it works great so far after 2 months of use.

I have been using this handheld bidet for more than 7 years. Recently it started leaking and I did buy a new one. The plumber noticed the leaking was not related to the handheld but to the toilet tank valve so I returned because I did not needed it. I had previously one that lasted for about 10 years. In my opinion It is a good quality product even when it’s plastic.

Poor quality, bad design

Our family have usually handheld bidet for over 20 years. Over time they wear out but usually last 5+ years. This is important because when they do they leak and can cause water damage if not caught right away.

Needs extra setup/tools

The bidet connectors are all 3/8” but a typical home pipes are all 1/2” where u have good force of water. So the T-junction that comes in package doesn’t fit in as is. U need to buy 4 other pieces to get it to work. :(

useless product

Terrible experience! Stay away from this product. Worst than this product is shopping from home depot. They said this is a hygiene product and not returnable! From their point of view, most plumbing products, e.g. hoses, valves, and connectors,.. are hygiene products. I believe this is their excuse not to return this poorly designed bidet sprayer. The valve is unreachable after installation and is a daily headache in your toilet.

two out of three still works great

We have three toilets in our house, and all of them have this handheld bidet installed. I personally installed them. They take around 30 minute each to install. I've been using them since 2020. So they should last at least two and a half years. My other two bidet are still working. Please note that the one that is leaking is being used more often than the other two, because it locates in our half bath on the first floor. I am going to order a different handheld bidet to replace my current leaking one, as I need something longer lasting than 2 years. As for the user experience, this device do a good job cleaning your privates. I like that you can maneuver it however you like because it is hand held. You will save a lot of money in not repurchasing toilet paper. On top of that you will never have little tissues stuck up there, at least while you're at home. It took my husband one month for him to start using this device. Now he loves his fresh and clean but everytime nature calls. Everybody likes a clean but.

My family loved the Brondell FreshSpa Comfort+ Ambient Temperature Non-Electric Bidet Attachment, which attached under the toilet seat, but my father's therapists recommended a raised seat which caused that model to squirt the wall instead of our bottoms. I thought this would style let my elderly parents aim better, but its operation is too complicated for them to figure out. (My father has dementia and mom had several strokes.) They would struggle to reach the lever beneath the tub to turn it on and off before and after each use even if they remembered to do so. I would probably have thus decided to return it even if it did not leak horribly where it connected to the tank. (I might have been able to tighten it enough to stop the leak if I borrowed a bigger wrench, but it is in a tight space and not worth the effort if neither parent can figure out how to use it anyway.) This might be good in a house where everyone is as young and flexible as myself, but it not well suited for seniors. The FreshSpa is a superior product at the same price.

Easy to install, quality product

Just installed 2 of these. The valve seems pretty solid and the metal threads are great quality. I used teflon tape on the threads just in case, and thankfully, no leaks. It was easy to remove the existing flexible pipe that fed the flush tank and replace with the valve provided. The control on the valve allows for adjusting the water pressure from the sprayer, a good feature to reduce sharper sprays and water spillage. The package mentions 2 water settings but essentially it's just one.

Never felt more Hygienic, Clean, Fresh or Sterilzed.

I was worried to buy one of those CleanSpa Hand Held Bidet, because I thought it would require a plumber to install it, thus. a good sum of money spent.

Very easy setup. I had it up and running in about 10 minutes. However, the sprayer started leaking after about 15 days of use. As per instructions, we always turned off the bidet both at the button on the sprayer AND at the valve. But it still leaked. I contacted customer service and after proof of receipt, they sent a new one. Brondell customer service was excellent on getting back to me and resolving the issue. 3 stars because the product failed without even being used that much. Hoping the replacement lasts for a while.

CS-30: Excellent, inexpensive, and versatile hand-held bidet

Amazing! No tools, quick install, no leaks! Bought this CS-30 unit, but put off installing it -- wish I hadn't. I've only used it several days so far, so still getting used to the process, but can already appreciate the cleanliness difference. This hand-held model does require both hands: one for aiming the sprayer, one for working the on/pressure/off valve down below; but I believe the versatility of this CS-30 hand-held model and its low price-point (compared to the pricey and non-available "automatic seat units") will keep me glad I bought it. Plus, Home Depot only had this $40 unit or an $70-$80 unit. I figure if I follow the directions and relieve pressure in the hose after each use (by turning the lower valve completely off, *then* closing the sprayer valve), the system should last a long time. [Spoiler: change spray mode by an easy twist of the chrome sleeve at spraying end of sprayer unit]. Wish the upgrade hot-cold mixer valve weren't so crazily expensive; pushes me toward a different DIY solution.

I Should Have Installed One a Long Time Ago!

This product is a great upgrade to your existing toilet! I grew up using a small bucket or pail to clean myself when I use the bathroom. I have searched for bidets but I do not like the toilet-cover-type because of how they look and they are not very versatile. This device is so easy to install even for someone not very handy like me. I suggest you install the hose to the stem first before installing the stem adapter under the toilet inlet because the hose is very flexible and you will be able to orient the shut off valve any direction you want. Great product, very nice packaging, easy to follow instructions and very easy to install! Thank you!

A must have if you came from Abu Dhabi.

I lived in Abu Dhabi for 9 years, where bidet is common even in public toilet. I was struggling here in Canada just to satisfy my bum needs.

Effective. It met my expectations. I need more practice, though I'm sure I'm getting more accurate- and cleaner- every time. And there assuredly will be more practice. Definitely beats contributing to the toilet paper pandemonium that's been going on, anyway.

1 Star

I bought two travel/personal bidets from overstock, and they worked great. This doesn't have enough water pressure on low, too work/clean like the travel bidets. I'm not willing to put it on high water pressure. I did it once, and I don't think I need to say anything more about the one experience. This is the second ever product I purchased that embarrasses me. Using it on low doesn't clean, and using it on high has its "wasteful" risks! Also, you have to worry about water moving upward. It is an unpleasant experience that can cause bacteria, or harmful viruses. I didn't have this problem with the personal bidet. My husband has the habit of throwing things away, regardless of how much they cost, so I have to reorder the personal bidets again. If I recommended a bidet, that isn't already a bidet toilet, I would recommend the personal bidets for its ease and simplicity to use, I wouldn't recommend this one that has to be attached to the waterline.

Not long after purchase bladder infections nonstop

We couldn’t figure out why, went to the doctor constantly, had so many test done, but they wouldn’t stop. The pain was excruciating and the antibiotics didn’t stop. I missed out on exams at university. It never occurred to me that the caue would be this little gadget right here. Mildew and mold builds up quite fast in between each little hole and then you spray yourself thinking your cleaning yourself only to find out your actually constantly infecting your body with germs. Once I brought my bidet in to the doctor he matched the mold as the same one that was causing my constant infections that caused so much pain, disruption in my life and completely killed my immune system. Be very careful!!!! I can’t stress it enough.
