The previous original part that came with the house was so rusty, I needed a tetanus shot just to take a shower. I walked into LOWEs and saw this in the package. A good feeling came over me. This flange is heavier than the ones you get in a new shower head installation kit. It also has set screw so it won't move once you tighten it. Center hole is a little large.

Sturdy enough but minus a star since the set screw does not stay tight. Blue thread seal (not red) solves this but just don’t over-tighten.
