Great fire pit and tank cover

We had a wood rectangular fire pit that we replaced with the round Modena fire pit

Great, wonderful and very well made.

There's a cover over the lid so I'm not sure how well it works.

I bought this lid for my outside Fire-pit and thought since it was stainless steel it would be more durable than others. I live in an area where the humidity is high. I kept a cover over the Fire-pit with the lid under the cover. Over time there has been some damage to the lid in the way of tarnish spots that affect the aesthetics of the fire-pit lid. Not sure how you could avoid this, but it is important for you to know upfront so you can try to prevent from occurring.

The lid is sturdy and well made, very heavy for the size. It fits the fire pit very well and provides excellent cover from the elements. I would definitely buy it again.

The product is as advertised but the relentless pursuit of reviews is annoying, even after giving them a review they never posted.

Can't say I have any issues with the product as it kind of fits. The issue is the kava rock in the pit keeps it from laying flat, but that isn't the fault of the lid. I was however a little disappointed in shipping. It came by Fed Ex and required a signature of receipt. I can't remember anything short of furniture or appliances that require signatures. Took 3 try's for actual delivery as they never left a number to call to coordinate. Fire Pits plus also sent out a request for review of the buying process, and a reminder to fill out the survey before the product shipped. And then had difficulty in understanding my reluctance to fill it out when the most important part of the process hadn't happened yet. Oh well! Other than that it was fine.

I bought this firepit steel lid for the Elementi Lunar Fire Bowl (table). It took me a long time to pull the trigger on it due to its cost. I couldn't find anything else that would fit, and most of them that came close, were more expensive. I ordered it online and received it a few days later. The packing was wonderful! It came in a large box with custom molded packing materials inside and the box was very rigid. There were no dings or scatches on it and it is very high quality stainless steel. It fits over the center hole with the burner ring and sets on the table top. The two cut-outs make excellent handles. When it is on the firepit and the firepit is turned off, it looks great and can easly be used for plates and drinks. We used silicone place mats so the stainless steel would not stain. I rigged up two magnetic tool strips to the side of a 36" table I built to set on top of the propane tank. With the two magnetic strips screwed to the side of the table, when I remove it to start the fire, I can simply place the steel lid on the magnets and it is out of the way. Also, when the steel lid is on the firepit and the canvas cover is over it, the lid is slightly elevated so gavity allows rain water to slide off. Without the lid, the water will pool in the middle of the canvas firepit cover until it evaporates and leaves a stain. The bottom line is that although it is costly, it's worth it in the long run. Wonderful product from Elementi!

Nice lid, doesn't fit

Ordered this lid specifically for the Elementi Boulder fire pit, thinking that it was designed to fit within the fire bowl. However, it appears to be a cover designed to fit in a different model, and instead of fitting flush inside the bowl, it's too large and sits on top of the fire pit (even though it has a tapered edge to fit inside a bowl). As such I returned it.
