Nice Tub Spout, verify fitment

The tub spout itself is great, it fits, it looks decent, it is metal, and it was easy to install. The star I knock off is for the difficulty I had in identifying a tub spout that had the exact fitment I was seeking (to fit over the sweat-on 1/2" adapter very common to Delta faucets). I had to read the Q&A for each Delta spout (EVERY spout had the question asked, "does it fit my setup...") which ought to be a clue that this information is very important to people's decisions and ought to be included in the description and filtering.

This diverts well, with a small drizzle but definitely much better than the one it replaced which had more than half the water coming down the spout when I put the shower on. I picked this brand because of the history of the brand representing quality plumbing products. I had a tiny gap in my situation which I sealed with some sealant but everyone's shower is different. I am semi-experienced in plumbing but this is not a big deal to change out yourself really. Very nice chrome, thanks for a quality product which is so hard to find nowadays.

The shut off/diverter mechanism is plastic like the cheaper version of this same spout. It still leaks water when diverted to the shower.

I bought this to replace a Spout that was not diverting properly. I wasn't sure the name brand of my original Spout but looking at the installation of this one it would fit any pipe coming out of the wall up to 4.25". My pipe from tile to end was 4" and threaded, I screwed this spout right on with some teflon tape and sealed it with some silicone caulk. Everything matched up perfect and it's overall a great replacement with no cutting or anything that some of the universal replacements have you do. The only con I have is the diverter does not seal 100%, there is still a very small trickle from the spout when diverting to the shower. This isn't huge deal but I expected better quality from a brand new delta product.
