standard spout. reduced the very loud noise on the old unit when water was flowing at max rate. Tank fills faster than old unit.

This is the third time in 16 years that I’ve had to replace my tub spout. My plumber prefers Delta over the other brands so I am hopeful that this one last longer than the others.

Better than just replacing diverter with a generi.

Easy to install and it worked. I tried and failed twice with generic replacement diverters that leaked badly. This spout and diverter delivers great water pressure for the shower.

Absolute cheap plastic rubbish.

The insides of this spout are made of plastic that you have to cut to install per their instructions. The metal threads inside the spout have a flaw that destroys the plastic threads.

Does not have a 5.56 reach

The description is misleading. It says it has a 5.56 reach which is why I bought it. All the other tub spouts have been 5 1/4 and are too short. I was thrilled to find one that matched the one I was replaying, 5.5 inches. However on the one I received it clearly says 5 1/4. Very misleading. Now I’ll he to return it and start all over.

I bought it because of the Delta name, this was a mistake. The universal system they used is a slip collar with a thread to receive an adapter threaded onto it. This piece has a thread at the end of it that has to thread into a female mating part inside the spicket, this was not happening, Being a machinist and recognizing the problem, I measured the threads both internal and external thread they were at opposite ends of the tolerance and would not mate. Fortunately, I have access to a machine shop retapped, re-threaded to make it work. So if you don’t have access to a machine shop try another product .

Awful for slip-on replacement

First, you have to cut the plastic adaptor so you have a very short thread left. Second, the plastic adaptor thread get cut by the metal spout thread when you try to screw it on. Does not work at all. Very disappointed. Why don't they just make a simple slip on replacement?

Not a drop-in replacement

Not a drop-in replacement for identical older product. Invisible from the outside, the thread inside is longer than in the previous model. So once connected there is a 1/4in gap to the wall. Extra work needed to close that gap.

I had a hard time finding a replacement diverter drain as my plumbing outlet has a 1/2 pipe with a threaded 3/4 male connection extending 3-7/16 out from the wall. I picked this Delta faucet because it provided several opinions/fittings. I was pleasantly surprised to see I didnt need any of the supplied parts. The female threaded front end mount on the drain diverter fit perfectly, no cutting, soldering, it took less than 2 min to add the supplied thread tape and twisted it on.

Home Depot needs to add specs about interior diameter of female receptor within the spouts

This a universal fit spout but did not fit my delta water feed pipe. Specs should include complete range of internal sizes. I need a spout that has a one inch diameter threaded female interior that screws onto a one inch male receptor water feed assembly. The water feed has a standard 1/2 inch pipe soldered inside of a 7/8 inch outer pipe that has a one inch male receptor. The spout's one inch female screws onto the water feed's one inch male receptor. It is crucial to know the size of the Delta spout's female interior.

Easy to assemble but it leaks a little at the spout when using the shower function. Noticeably lesser quality than builder-grade Delta unit it replaced. Checked with Delta before replacing. They say they offer a ‘lifetime warranty’ — except for wear and tear. Really?

Fragile Tubing split

The faucet looked great and is metal, unlike the Delta Moniter I need to replace due to discoloration, which was plastic. I was carefully installing the new spout and the black tube that runs though the spout split at the threads. When I removed the new spout, the ring broke off completely. The old spout had a sleeve that stabilized the spout, this one does not so you must be extremely careful not to wiggle the spout at all while installing. The pvc tubing seems cheap as compared to the other faucet I had. Hopefully Lowe’s will replace this part for me.

DO NOT GET FOR SLIP FIT

It’s another “universal” spout, for which the customer with slip fit plumbing has to have extra tools to MODIFY the adapter piece. I suppose it’s better quality than the Danco universal, but I cannot tell you if it worked or not because after modifying adapter as instructed (SAWING IT, believe it or not- that’s what the instructions say) IT NO LONGER THREADS TOGETHER AND IT CAN’T BE INSTALLED......we had to go get a saw to use for this, and we even cut it twice, trying to be cautious the first time. After cutting the adapter as short as allowed, it still sticks too far out leaving a big gap between the spout and tub wall. Even worse, the adapter wouldn’t screw on straight with the diverter.
