This is a beautiful floor lamp ....it is heavy and sits well on carpeting. The shade is fantastic and it gives out great light. I have it next to my sofa and the lighting is soft but bright. I highly recommend this light to anyone looking for a beautiful accent piece.

Stately Floor Lamp for Any Room

Beautiful and stately lamp. Fit the decor of our room perfectly. I like the push button step on switch versus a switch on the lamp itself. The lamp shade is a great size and the lamp is better than pictured.

Great Shape!

Unique shape, sleek design! Fits well with sectional couch. Floor on/off switch makes placement much easier. Lighting is soft but good for reading

Beware - Huge lamp shade

First, it arrived in a box stuffed with styrofoam. It was impossible to remove the lamp without creating a styrofoam storm. Being an environmentalist, I would never have purchased it had I known. But the biggest problem is the size of the lamp shade - 18" in diameter. That information was not included in the product description. It is massive. Unless you have lots of room and a high ceiling, it will seem like a true elephant in your room. Now I have to purchase a smaller shade. I would return this lamp except the styrofoam was destroyed while trying to free the lamp from its prison. I would not recommend.
