Okay if you spent a day installing a ceiling fan, found gaps, and are too lazy to rewire
I installed a new ceiling fan to replace the old one. Did not foresee that the old canopy covered gaps in the ceiling (around the wire box) that the new one exposed, so was looking for a quick fix. Did not want to unhook all the wiring and redo that. Lazy. This was an okay fix. That being said, this should cost $5.00 and not a penny more. Shame on this seller for charging $16 for what looks like cost $1.00 to manufacture.
Perfect for Ceiling Fan
Perfect for ceiling fan when its already been installed. When I received this I thought what have I bought myself because it was very lightweight and felt like foam but once I inserted it above the canopy on the ceiling fan I see now why I bought it It was perfect for my application on my back porch when I had put a new ceiling fan up and realized that it needed something a little more substantial above it to keep it from wobbling because of the plastic soffit on the porch.
Whole new look
The medallion looks very nice and classy around my light. I bought it thinking it was much bigger but it looks adorable on my small light going to the basement. Im glad I made that mistake which happened to work out someplace else.
Beautiful finish
I needed to cover a hole this worked well. I used screws to have the option to remove easily if desired. I still have to dab the screws with white paint to hide them. I am pleased with the inexpensive fix.
Perfect!
I installed this to cover a gap along the ceiling box. As the manufacturer suggested online, I used Loctite Power Grab to install the medallion and didn't need screws. I just used painters tape for a few hours while the adhesive set. Nicely primed and doesnt need painted if you want to leave it white. Cute!
Accommodates 5.5" Dia. Fixture
Bright white and seems water repellant, so I didn't bother painting before hanging in my bathroom. It was easy to hang with glue and masking tape because its lightweight foam, which was also nice because I had to carve a space on the back to accommodate a raised defect in the wall (an old painted-over screw anchor). The flat space around the inner cut is about 5.5" diameter, which perfectly accommodated my fixture.
Looks Nice for a Small Chandelier
This serves its purpose and the wife loves it. The material is not sturdy and flakes apart on the underside, but I imagine that is good if you are planning to paint it. White or white was fine for me.
What are talking about with that question? There no adhesive
It really trims out a light I needed it for. It looks better than I expected. It weighs as much as a marble. Maybe.
not flat or even
We used these to frame around 2 ceiling fans. Although they did the job they are not real easy to work with because they are not level or even (one set was and one set wasnt). I am glad that I painted prior to trying to install. I would say overpriced for what you get.
I used a glue gun to put this up!
You can easily trim this with scissors to get the perfect fit. It looks like plaster and covered the area around my ceiling fan beautifully. It hides and seals off areas that Im too cheap to pay someone to do.
Actually looks really good!
Inner edge is thin, so it will slide beneath a small gap between ceiling and fixture cover. The halves mate nicely and I did not have to fill. A previous comment indicated cost was excessive. At first I agreed, as the mark-up must be over 500% BUT, it covered a gap in a ceiling repair job that would have taken me an extra 3 hours to fix with tape, mud, primer and paint.
Cheaply made
Pretty cheap I didn?t end up using it only because I didn?t end up needing it but I was concerned on how I was going to adhere it to the ceiling. I am positive if you tried to drive a nail through this it would crack it in half or splinter. It was barely more than styrofoam.
Cheap!!!
Too small worst I have ever purchased! I am buying another I hope will work. This will be the 3rd I have purchased from the same company! I?am trying to encompass a 5? canopy. The 1st one purchased said the inside diameter was 5 and a 1/4not even close. The 3rd one I sent for says it will work with 5 and 1/2 canopy, we shall see when it arrives!!
Perfect!!
I was looking for a low key ceiling medallion, for above my dining room chandelier. This was perfect, because it is just enough to dress it up more. It comes unpainted, so we can paint the color we want to. Also the opening needed to be wide enough for my chandelier to go through.
Easy to work with
Fits my ceiling medallion beautifully. I bought metallic black and gold paint. It didn't take long to dry. The whole thing cost me less than $25. Now I dont have a gaping hole between my chandelier and ceiling. WIN!
... house and the ceilings and walls are not the best, when I was remodeling the bathroom
As I have an older house and the ceilings and walls are not the best, when I was remodeling the bathroom, I had to do some maneuvering with the new ceiling light. The ceiling cap was much smaller and this fit the bill, I painted it prior to adhering it the ceiling and have had compliments.
Beautiful medallion
Easy to install medallion! We needed something to go around our new powder room light and this was perfect. Detail work is cleanly done and very easy to install. It was packaged well and fairly priced.
Easy install and seam is invisible
Painted medallion to match fixture, being careful to cover cross-section from cut dividing medallion in half. Install was very easy (no glue required as fixture holds it in place), and seam is all but invisible. This product solved problem of gap in drywall from installing smaller fixture and definitely took the look of new fixture up a notch. Very pleased with result.
What an upgrade
Absolutely perfect. Our new hanging light had a smaller collar and the old ceiling paint was exposed. The medallion was white and we spray painted befor installation to match the light. You can?t tell the medallion was an add on. Buying anothe for the dining room
Worked great for my ceiling fan.
My ceiling fan is flush with the ceiling and cant be loosened. I needed something that would fit around it. This worked. The material is lightweight and easy to trim (I had to widen the hole just a smidge and make space for the screws holding the cover on the fan). It looks way better than before and Im happy with it.
