2 month frustration with Sandusky

April Utility= punched out dent. May -ordered 2 lge cabinets & 1 bookcase.

Quality is marginal, it works, just not great.

Quality was not great, unlike a different Sandusky cabinet that I recently bought. There are no hinges on the doors, just posts at the top and bottom. The ones at the top were WAY loose and the doors hung up a bit when trying to close. I reworked it all myself rather than go through the hassle of returning such a large item.

Good quality steel cabinet.

Overall a great product. I was very impressed with the superb manner they had packed the cabinet for shipping. The body of the cabinet was completely surrounded by heavy duty bubble wrap. The corners were also thoroughly protected. It arrived without any bumps or scratches. The only complaint that I have is that the slots that are cut into the steel for holding the shelf brackets did not line up with the other slots in one corner. I had to use machine screws to secure the shelves at that one corner.

Arrived damaged

The product it great looking but arrived damaged. The packaging was secured and showed no signs of damage but once the product was removed from the package there was a noticable dent to the front right corner that makes the door hard to close. Other than that it looks and functions for what it is needed.

Cabinet was dented in two places. It certainly was unacceptable. How can a $400+ storage cabinet arrive damaged? I am very upset.

After waiting 6 weeks I finally received the cabinet. All the pop rivets that hold the center divider in place had come apart. The center divider was just loose in the cabinet. Obvious workmanship flaw. For an American made product this was fabricated/engineered poorly. Maybe my cabinet was the only one or maybe this happens more often than Sandusky would like to admit. It seems to me that if you sell a $300.00 cabinet that you intend to ship to the customer that your design would withstand the actual shipping. For context the packaging the cabinet came in was pristine. So kudos to that person. Unfortunately, Sandusky has the market cornered for this style of cabinet so...

Overall, a great product. The shelfs are deep which means there are alot of space to store things. The security lock does feel little bit loose, like if someone were to yank the door, it would probably open. its still a great cabinet.

We use it for dry food storage for a Soup Kitchen and find that the extra depth of this cabinet is what we need in being able to store more items. The adjustable shelves also help in being able to give more height where needed.

This cabinet is very light weight and not of particularly good quality. We ordered two, and they arrived looking good on the outside, but once we got inside, it was a mess. None of the shelves were placed, which was fine, but nor were they fixed in any fashion, which was not fine because they were jostled around in their journey from the manufacturer to here. The metal is very thin and so many of the shelves (especially the corners) were dinged or bent and had to be straightened. The paint was scuffed and scratched with all the movement, resulting in it being very dirty inside from all the paint dust. For our purposes, the cabinets will function just fine since we are just storing light plasticware, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything heavy duty. All in all, I was rather disappointed in them, but they are made in the USA :-)
