Using the jar for dried herbs. The air tight seal wasn't the best. The size of the jar is convenient. The mouth of the jar was kinda closed so it was harder to reach my hand inside to scoop contents out. Instead I had to tip jar over and pour desired amount from the container. I would buy again under certain circumstances.

Very Useful

A perfect jar for refrigerator leftovers. Very wide opening and they stack! Good choice for condiments, pickles, olives, Looks great on the table. Very useful.

I would recommend this product to everyone

I recently found rats in my old house. In order to keep my food from the rats, I bought 10 of the Bormioli Fido Rocco glass jars to store my food. They do not just keep my food from the rats, but also keep my food fresh too. I really like them, and recommend to all my friends.

I bought my first of these over 10 years ago and have used them for baking goods ever since. But I needed more, so I purchased a new one and bought new seals for the ones I had. The seals fit all the different sizes I have. They went on easily and are airtight.

NO replacement parts are available!!!

NO replacement parts are available at ANY locking glass canister companies, or stores where they sell canisters, so I have to replace ENTIRE jar if a lid or lock breaks! THAT IS A BIG COSTLY WASTE! Wise up glass canister mfg. companies! Glass lids and metal locking rings break and need to be replaced!!! We do NOT always need a whole new canister!!!!

Best way to store food items

I absolutely love these glass jars. They are airtight, seal quickly and easily and keep food fresh.

my husband makes a sweet sour cucumber pickle and used these to store his batches in. Looked good in it too!!

Gasket supply problem

I love the jars, but the rubber gaskets that come with them are one-time use only, according to the instructions listed on an insert in each jar. But the Container store doesn't sell the gaskets, so while I will try to wash them and use vinegar to remove bacteria, I really don't like reusing them.

beautiful container

I have a pantry and use these types of containers for my dry goods. The seal fits snugly as expected and the 1.6qt is a great size for me. I will be ordering more and I highly recommend this product.

Excellent Hermetic Storage (i.e., bail & clamp). I bought 5 of the 5 liter (5.3 quart) this past week. Be advised there is sometimes confusion between use of liters or quarts in describing and finding these jars. Nothing keeps bugs out like bail & clamp., especially if you store grains and legumes like me. I've been using this brand from Container Store for past 5 years and have had no problems. Also, it's nice to shop at a store where the staff actually knows the merchandise and will knock themselves out helping you find what you need!
