Have had this item for quite a few years! Easy to clean and holds quite a bit. Primarily used to make ice tea, and lemonade. Handle is easy to hold and not difficult to pour. The lid does have different settings for the pour.

Bring back old design

Just bought a new pitcher last week. Don't like the new design. The handle is too thick. And the lid, with the handle sticking up, is too tall for my tallest shelf in the fridge. I forced the old lid on to make it fit. Please go back to the old design.

Bad fit lid too tall

I brought this and was very disappointed. Barely fits in the fridge due to the lid having a raised top. I have always purchased your products but you should have stayed with the old lid.

The new lid design SUCKS!

If I could give minus 5 stars, I would; you know it's bad when you have to ask your husband to remove the lid off of your BRAND NEW RUBBERMAID PITCHER so you can make a gallon of tea. What is wrong with you people? You had a GREAT design that worked then you decided to get cute and change it. If you have any spare "old design pitchers with the great lid," would you mind sending me one? I have been scouring our local Goodwill stores in hopes to find an old design pitcher, but apparently, so has everyone else!

Lid is nearly impossible to remove

I love the pitcher but hate the lid. As many others have said, it's nearly impossible to remove. I thought mine was defective but I'm seeing that lots of people have the same problem. I love, love, love my old Rubbermaid 1 gallon tea pitchers. I only got this new one because the handle on one of my old ones cracked. Thankfully I saved the lid from the old cracked pitcher so I'm going to see if I can use it with this new one, instead of that impossible red lid. This definitely needs a re-design.

You threw away your best design

You had an excellent pitcher 40 years ago. Just BRING IT BACK.

Good quality plastic, Horrible Lid to remove

I have always used these 1 gallon rubber made containers for tea. However over the years the lid is almost impossible to remove. I have to literally squeeze the body of the container to get the lid to loosen up where I can get it off. Perhaps I have a faulty unit I don't know Walmart would not exchange it. I did not have my receipt. But nothing should be this difficult to work with with the quality that rubber made has always been known for.

Not a fan of the new design - give me old model

I bought two new gallon tea pitchers that were not like the photos in the description. These redesigned pitchers seem flimsy and not of quality in previous design. While I might could live with the body of the pitcher, I found the lid almost unusable since it is hard to take out or turn.

Design flaw

I like the 2 quart pitcher for iced tea but there is something wrong with the way the top works. Once closed you can’t easily open it. Seems to be a design flaw!

Terrible lid!

You cant turn or get this lid off easy. There is nothing to grab so you can pull the lid off. This is going back and I'm finding something better. Why did they not test this before putting it in stores?

Lid design fail.

Purchased two 1-gallon-size pitchers expecting them to be like the former one. The sturdiness of the pitcher and the handle design is SUPERIOR in "supporting the pour," just like the old model. Rubbermaid is known for its quality products and it seemed my trust was well placed.

Lid removal

I've had this for a few weeks now. I only keep it around for comedic purposes like asking my teenagers try and remove the lid. LOL. They think they're so strong now that they're 14. I keep thinking about how my poor granny might try to open this thing if she bought one.

HORRIBLE LID DESIGN ON GALLON PITCHER

Rubbermaid is the only tea pitcher that I have used for years, however this last edition is horrible!!! I cannot get the lid off without a fight!!! Why wasn't there an indentation in the top of the lid or something to grip???? I hate to make tea now because I have to wrestle with this lid and I do mean wrestle! Is there something I'm missing?????

Junk

The design of the lid and handle is awful. The lid is almost impossible to turn and get off! The handle is too thick. Absolutely junk...I do not recommend. What was wrong with the original pitcher? It's not like the lid comes off when you pour.

Hate it

Hate the lid and the handle. The lid is hard to turn and hard to get off. The older style was way better. I'm not sure why companies think they have to change a perfectly good design.

Terrible design

I bought this pitcher about 2. Months ago if your an older person or have arthritis I. Your hand it’s very hard to hold I love the older one but this one had to go in the trash I’m looking for another brand that is easier to hold.
