Less for more cost

Very disappointed. The wheels of the desk chair sink in and form pockets. Plastic is soft. Replacement for mat had many years that was thicker and also bought at Staples. Would recommend only with reservations. If I saw it in person at store would not choose it.

Pros: 1. More solid compared to the cheap one I bought at Best Buy 2. Chair rolls around nicely 3. Doesn't cost an arm Cons: 1. Wasn't packaged at all, and it came in with two bents. The mat is now flat, yet it could have been packaged better.

Replacement

I bought this as a replacement for the previous one, which cracked and failed after one year. I think the plastic dries out and then it's no good. But I needed it, so I got another. One thing to beware of: the cleats on the bottom are VERY SHARP and will rip and tear your skin. Try to get someone to help you carry it. I was bleeding in several places after moving it.

A "sinking feeling"

I bought this mat to replace one intended for uncarpeted floor, which kept sliding sideways. I currently have low pile carpet where my desk is. I thought this one would solve my problems, but it created a new problem (in addition to inching to the right) - - the chair wheels form sink pockets in the mat wherever they sit (and I am a small, slim person), and I fight the dents when I try to shift the position of the chair. I could not recommend this mat to anyone with a low pile carpet. Maybe it works well on other some kind of floor cover, but I'm not sure what that would be.

Generally satisfied. Selected based on carpet pile recommendations. Finding that the wheels of my chair still indent the mat. May need to switch to a glass mat next time.
