I disregarded the printed instructions on the box to unroll it as soon as it arrived. My mistake. It took 3 evenings of slowly unrolling it and weighing down the unrolled portions before I could lay it flat. Otherwise, it appears that once I get it entirely flattened, it will suit my purpose well.

This was delivered ahead of the scheduled delivery date. I appreciate that. The mat is great so far. Crossing my fingers it won't crack like the last brand I had.

Take your carpet pad into consideration! I purchased the option based on my pile length of 1/2". The mat works, but we had a memory foam carpet pad installed and the chair sinks and leaves divots in the mat. (I purchased my carpet and had it installed through Home Depot). The mat moves too. I may consider a glass mat, but one with a lip will be expensive. Home Depot sells a Floortex mat for over 1/2" pile carpet and I will try that first.

For the price, I was expecting a more ridged mat. The wheels on my chair make depressions in the mat which in turn prevents the chair from rolling. I'm very disappointed all in all.

mat rated for 3/4" carpet. 5 roller chair puts divots into surface, I weigh 208#s. thought these were within specs, guess not.

Recommend -- Prefer the cleats to the spikes

This mat has held up well. I've used this mat for about a year now, and so far, so good. The cleats hold it in place well and I greatly prefer them to the sharp spikes found in other mats. I would buy this again.

This chair mat was nearly impossible to unroll. It took over a week for it to flatten out with weight on it !...edges were curled. It still has 2 "indentations" from the curl across the width. I hope with time, it will continue to flatten.

Works.well, but doesn't last more than a couple of years.with regular use.

[Rewarded Review] Does not hold up

I've been disappointed in this since I received it. First, it was impossible to completely flatten. I had boxes of books set on it for over a week and it still never got completely flat. It has never stayed in place, and now after less than a year (8 months to be exact) it has severe cracking issues. I expected a lot more from a mat that cost this much.

Built Like a Tank!

This will be a durable chair mat. Took a while to unroll; keep in mind that it arrived on a very cold day. 2 days later after it warmed up, the unrolling effort began. Using (4) 10 lb. free weights and (4) 5 lb. free weights, the mat gradually flattened out; total flattening time took 3 days. It is a heavy product too. This chair mat is gonna last a long time!

Excellent quality, heavy duty chair mat. This one huge mat covers chairs for two desks. Best on low pile carpet, but even over shag it works beautifully. The vinyl is very thick, so plan on taking 2-3 days to unroll (coaxing with hair dryer was helpful). The new vinyl smell dissipated quickly. Very good price, even with hefty shipping charge. You cannot find this quality in an office supply store.

The chair mat walks along the floor. Relocating the mat back to the original position is a continual task. I cannot recommend purchasing this mat to anyone.

Surprised that the chair casters leave impressions in the mat. They do flatten back out aftet leaving thr chair but it’s unclear if this shortens the life of the mat. It dies have a lifetime warranty tho.

Very sturdy on carpet

Very sturdy. Carpet it is on is at least 1/2' or slightly more. I didn't realize it was going to be shipped rolled up though. I layed it out in a room for at least three days with various weights on top of boards/ plywood to get it to lay flat.
