There’s an elevated wrinkle at one edge that never flattens out. This thing moves on my hard floor when I move my chair. Needs better grips on bottom for hard floors

The mat is ok, it’s shipped rolled up. For me, at the time it was cloudy and 50 degrees outside, so unrolling was a challenge to get it to lay flat. But the real pain was the product sticker on the mat. When I pulled the sticker off, it left behind all the sticky adhesive on the mat. This was some of the stickiest adhesive ever. I had to use mineral spirits to get it off the plastic mat! So if anyone from the manufacturer, reads this, leave the sticker off!

I found it impossible to open the rug that was rolled tightly, I worked and worked to get it open and could not, but on the weekend my daughter and grandson came over and it took both of them to open it, I now have it on the floor with weights on all four corners and in between also. A impossible difficult task for me to do alone

Floor mat arrived within estimated delivery time. Very hard to unroll and had to keep it anchored under heavy items for 2-3 days before I was able to put it to use because of the tight roll. But once flattened out it’s been great to use as a floor protector over hardwood flooring. Staying in play and my chair rolls easily over it. Very happy with my purchase.

Too slippery when stepping into - danger of falling. Wouldn't lay flat. Total failure for its purpose. Fearing others would be injured and no return allowed, I put it in the dumpster.

Horrible Packaging Ruins This Item

The mat -- which you would want to be completely clear - comes rolled up and bound in packing tape -- and it also has a glued on label! So, once you carefully take off the label and tape, you are left with a marred, sticky surface that refuses to be cleaned off. I rolled it right back up and returned it to the store.

This item turned out to be an inexpensive solution. My new desk chair's casters tend to create gouges in my softwood, Douglas Fir wood floor. (It's the subfloor we had sanded, and stain and is our floors throughout the house). I was able to slide this mat under my desk legs. The size of the mat is perfect, too, for my small den office space. Caster cups with soft cloth bottoms prevented the gouges, but prevented me from moving my chair. The Evolve Hard Floor Straight Rectangular Chair Mat solves all concerns -- gouges, space, and mobility -- and does so inexpensively.

This mat was a pain to unroll. I had to weight it down with heavy books all around the perimeter for days before it was flat enough to turn upside down and start letting the chair weight finish the job. It does feel sturdy, though, has a nice texture for rolling the chair, and is transparent enough for me to still enjoy the look of my new flooring. So Im satisfied.

The chair mat is a great addition to my office. My chair rolls smoothly now and I got this mat at a great price through Wayfair.. Just what I was looking for. The only challenge was getting it unrolled and straight after shipping. Follow the directions and be patient. It flattens out overnight when something heavy is on the ends preventing it from rolling back up. Mine turned out great...give it a try. You wont be disappointed.

It also moves around as you roll over the mat. I have to reposition the mat every morning. It creeps and pushes up against a big cabinet and buckles as it keeps creeping.

The design really was great and stuck to the floor so it didnt move around a lot. I wouldn't get this item again. It looks nice and is just the right size for my L-shaped desk. However, It does not have any grip on the bottom side, so it slides with me when I push my chair in or out. I finally had to pin it under the legs of my desk (not an easy task). Also it took 2 full weeks for the material to flatten out from when it was shipped. This might not have been an issue had I removed it from the box when it arrived (as the instructions stated. But it arrived a full week ahead of schedule, and thus, I wasn't ready for it. Still it was at room temperature the whole time. It took several sessions with a hair dryer to flatten it out. The instruction in the box tell you to remove immediately, but if you don't open the box you won't know this.

This chair mat is just the right size for my smaller desk. None of the others I've had fit between the desk legs properly, which then requires either trimming or lifting the desk enough to slip the mat under. My home office is pretty small, and I have my file cabinet right at the side of my desk, so no need to move my chair very far, but it is nice to be able to move it without getting up to do so, like I have to without a mat. Nice design on this one. The only reason I didn't select "excellent" for ease of installation is that it comes curled in a box for shipping, and the smell of petroleum product is pretty strong at first. I put it upside down with weights on it when I first got it to help get the curl out. The smell will fade in time.

This Office Chair Mat with Lip for Hard Floors is just what I needed. My chair now rolls easily onto and off of the matt. It does not have teeth on the underside so if used on carpet it will still perform great. But it will move/crawl around a bit during your movement with your chair and need occasional adjustments. The packaging came with unpacking instructions but they were inside of the box. I had to open the box before I could read the instructions, bad design! The instructions should have been on the outside of the box or package. The matt and box/packaging is all rolled up together and then the outer wrap of the package, (cardboard) is formed into a square shape, rectangular in length. It will take a while to figure out how to open the box with the instructions located in the box. You can not simply open it like a box of foil or open it at the end and let it slide out. It is all rolled up together.

I've wanted a chair mat for some time. The desk chair on the hard wood floor is not a good combination. This mat has done the trick. I can now sit at the desk and move around without having to worry about creating more problems. The mat came rolled up in the box but rolling it backwards will flatten it out with no trouble. It stays put without always having to be concerned if it has moved. This one is intended for bare floors but the company does offer mats for both short and long loop carpet. I would recommend it.

Anyone who has a home/office in the house knows that the chairs you use to work on bills, spread sheets, photo editing, or other chores in front of the computer for a while can do some serious damage to your carpet over time. Not long ago we had purchased an additional area rug to protect our house carpet, but now the new rug was beginning to wear. We tried the Office Chair Mat and it worked out great. This Dimex Evolve chair mat is the first one I've had since the last hard plastic one was thrown away several years ago. It is so much better than the old one. It is made of clear PVC with a smooth bottom for hard floors.The mat has a new plastic smell.

This mat offers great protection to our hardwood floors! After all our hard work this Evolve mat made by Dimex will lengthen the life of the new laminate floors in the sewing room. It arrived rolled up but it was easy to lay a box or two on top and la voila! it was flattened the next day. It's a clear rectangular mat with a rounded lip that can be placed under a table or desk. It's made out of recycled materials and lays flat on the floor. At first I was concerned because it slipped and moved when I stepped on it, but once I put the chair on it, I didn't have that problem at all. This one is 36 X 48 but other sizes are 33X44, 39X52 and 42X56. Depending on the wheel base of your chair, you can find the size that's best for you.
